First, define your terms so you can--without successful challenge--identify these groups clearly and without doubt.

Second, obtain a lawyer who can help you violate the U.S. Constitution's Bill of Rights.

Third, Ask yourself why you have been chosen and by what authority to make these decisions. (Do you have a copy of your license handy? I'd like to see it.)

Fourth, Ask yourself by what right/law/regulation or widely accepted custom you are enabled to pass judgment on the activities and affairs of other people.

Fifth, learn to speak Nazi and ask your mother to sew up a Hitler uniform for you.

i don't think it's something you can do over night, but i think the key is just to bash religion as much as possible. that way, other closet non-believers will feel more comfortable speaking their minds. the more the religion is bashed, the more its members will shy away from it. the more the moderates bail, the less protection the fundamentalists will have.

just look at how far we've come in the last 500 years. galileo was actually executed for insisting that the earth is not the center of the universe. back then, EVERYBODY was a fundamentalist. but we've been able to diminish religion bit by bit. things will definitely continue to get better i think. a hundred years from now, creationism will be as dead as geocentricity. and with any luck, the muslims will be hardly any more harmful than a modern day christian.

in the mean time, just make your feelings known. tell everyone you know that you think religion is dangerous.

Root them out? Are you talking about people who are fervently religious, or terrorists? Most religious people, even the fanatical ones, won't harm anyone. I am not sure if this is your question. I can't imagine any other reason to root them out, as you put it. This is a free country, and many of our forefathers came here specifically to obtain religious freedom.

As a typical atheist one way to root out Christians is when you have car trouble do your usual routine of throwing a fit and cursing God. In a few minutes a Christian will come along to help you. After you get your car started and go about your merry way you can again resort to blaming God and mocking the person that just helped you like the ingrate you are.

There are Quranic verses and Hadiths (sayings of Prophet Muhammed) to point out a nutcase within our faith.

There is a test in Bible for rooting out the true Christians and disbelievers:
Mark 16:16-18
16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned.

17 These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will drive out demons, they will speak new languages.

18 They will pick up serpents (with their hands), and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not harm them. They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."

Fundamentailists and fanatics need people who cannot think for themselves.. or beleave in stupid.. subtectifications of things like prejudice.. faith and what they say god wants.

People who are liberated self reliant and learn to live happy and fullfilling lives from thier own ideas and will. .. The true individual who cares for others.. that is an elevation.. what the world of our dreams will consist of.

Most likely with the most obvious tools you were born with...

1. Do you need them

2. Do you trust them

3. Are they asking you to do something

4. Do they make you feel uncomfortable

The list could go on and on .....

I'm reminded of a old cartoon "friends are people you like who just like you right back".

Nothing more

Its quite easy, all you need to do is show how their beliefs are bad for everyone but themselves. Nobody connected with spirituality anywhere wants to believe that God hates the struggling humanity it created, yet the Fundie wants us to believe hate is true?

Considering that everyone is entitled to their own opinions, I don't see that we have the right to root out anyone. Unfortunately, we'll just have to live with them.

Best wishes.
