All students everywhere should wear uniforms. (not expensive ones, necessarily, but uniforms)
We wore them, and after seeing what goes on in our public schools without them, I think they would help calm things down. (no spaghetti straps, no slouchy pants, etc)

I am all for it. Having lived in two countries where school children have to wear uniforms, I know of at least three advantages:
= All kids look the same, so there is no obvious difference between rich and poor.
= Since uniforms are made in large quantities and are sold centrally, often by the schools themselves, the price can be kept low and reasonable.
= If different colors are used for different school levels it is easy to tell them apart.
So ... Singapore, go for it!

Yes, it provides the necessary identity to recognise which school is the student from. The only disadvantage is that the moment they misbehave, public can complain directly to the school prinicipal.

yes. definetly. well childhood is the time when u can teach kide what u want to and as we all know that deciplin and unity are the most impo, things in the life so this should be made compulsory.
