I live in California. The girl lives in Sacramento, I live in Los Altos (6 hours away from Sacramento). It sounds like I'm copying that one guys idea but I'm not. I was about to ask it.

Honesty, time, and commitment. You have to set aside time to see your girl, to call her and talk about what's going on in your lives, to send her flowers or a little card. And you both have to be very honest about what you want out of the relationship. If you want something serious, you'll both have to commit to making time for each other. Long distance relationships are tough, but they can work out if you both put in the effort.

You both have to trust each other for starters... another thing is you are going to have to make plans to see each other... and try to talk on the phone all the time

it's all about the trust.. i'll be having the same problem, i'll be leaving my live -in girlfriend here in the philippines to work in singapore.. i'll be leaving tuesday. we have talked about what will our relationship would be and we promise each other to be faithfull to one another.. dude, modesty aside, my girl is hot, evrybody wants her.. but, i trust her... i believe we have built a mighty foundation in our relationship and distance will not be an issue.. we love each other and i believe our relationship will still work.. damn!! that sounds gay!!lol

talk to her every day! just think of little things to tell her and remember the important things... make sure that the relationship is tangible, if possible (ex send letters and small gifts when appropriate) but just talk to a lot... that's what i do!

Simple. Keep in touch with her, and make the effort to spend time with her every other weekend. Hope it works out...

if you realy love her, be faitfhull - and expect the same from her-
nothing is forever in this world, and who know where you will be next year at the exact same time ?
i do not mean the relationship will not be there - i just mean to say- things change, people change - ask yourself- Where will you be next year this time ?

that is really hard.i mean i had the same problem and it was always hard trying to talk to him. I finally talk to him about either him moving here or either i moving there..neither idea worked so we worked it out and we broke up...it is always better to talk to her,,trust me it will work.
