i dont know if ur in school/college......juz general college research im guessing
1st decide the industry u want to study-------I.T/telecom/airlines/consumer goods etc etc
in I.T----theres infosys(bt doin a research on this is not very easy, coz its like a benchmark in I.T....u need to compare it wid something-------maybe u can use satyam/wipro)
telecom-----airtel/hutch etc
airlines-----only jet airways is listed on the stock exchange......bt if thats not ur criteria theres indian airlines/kingfisher/sahara n u can use jet as a benchmark for comparisons
consumer goods loads from dabur/itc/HLL etc bt make sure ur able to consoliadate ALL their product lines.....a research needs to be thorough.......

firstly what field are u in? Commerce, Arts or Science?
But if u really wanna to do something sensational do research on
1) Commerce - How to dupe investors
2) Arts - How to imitate famous other in the same field
