Yes there is a relation between Islam and terrorism.
Islam is the opposite of terrorism.
Islam means being Muslim, which means being peaceful & merciful..
That what Islam is all about .. forgiven & peace ..
all the people who read the Islamic history know what I am talking about..
One of the best prove of what I am saying is the prophet Mohammed & his way
of treating people ..
How he was an Inspiration & a good example for Muslims .. Even in wars
he was telling his men not to hurt a child or a woman or an old man or any one without a Weapon not even cutting a tree ..
how he was treating with Christians & Jews .. how much he was kind and gentle ,,
how he was forgiving his Jewish neighbor who was treating him in a bad way (peace be upon him)
& how he visited that Jewish man when he got sick..
prophet mohammed was from the biggest & most honor families in makkah but he sacrificed every thing .. money & honor & power.. just because he had a message from god and he had to deliever it .. he wasn't
a racist & he was fighting racism the best story I can remeber about that is the one with
Belal (an african man was working for one of the makkah masters) & that man was treating Belal
very bad and he was hurting him .. and when Belal heard about islam he was very glad of that religion which doesn't care about
where r the person from ? or what color is he ? and that is the only measure of bettering a man than another man is the faiothfull & worshiping god..
after he relaized the real islam he became a muslim and when his master knew that he went so much far in beating and hurting him ..but Belal didn't
surrender .. he desided to be muslim what ever happen to him because he relaized what real islam is ,,after muslims went to ( madinah ) and after they had the upper hand, Belal
became the ( moua'athen ) means the man who calls for prayers because of his very nice voice..
how much honest & trustable he was..
and b4 he came a messenger, how all the people were lifting their money and their stuff with him when they leave if he was known as a terrorism???, and what they were calling him (al-sadek al-amin ) means
the honest and who never cheat..
Islam isn't a religion of terror ..
..prophet Mohammed wasn't an evil man with a scar
on his face & holding bombs in his hands as media picture him..
So how do they relate Islam with terrorism ??? where r the proves ??
y do all da people relate Islam with September 11 ??
Islam is great.. and Islam's enemies know that .. that's y they don't want Islam to stand strong.
so they picture it badly as a terrorism religion ..
the best one who can talk about Islam is a Muslim person ..
I am Muslim and I know one thing I always keep it in the back of my mind ..
Islam is the last and the greatest religion and thank god I am Muslim .. and I am proud of that..
building bad ideas about something we r not sure about is so wrong ,,
Islam is peace , Islam is forgiven , Islam is mercy , Islam is telling the truth , Islam is respecting people ,
Islam is helping each other , Islam is being fair , Islam is the Equalization between humans,,
if people understand what real Islam is there will be no one doesn't want to be Muslim.. Have a nice day & good luck

and another thing I would like to say .. some of muslims who don't understand islam may do or say
things that have nothing to do with islam .. and their deeds have nothing to do with real muslims or the prophet mohammed..
Read what Qu'an says about the relationship between Islam and other religions;
2 : 62 Verily! Those who believe and those who are Jews and Christians, and Sabians, whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day and do righteous good deeds shall have their reward with their Lord, on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve .
2 : 109 Many of the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) wish that if they could turn you away as disbelievers after you have believed, out of envy from their ownselves, even, after the truth (that Muhammad Peace be upon him is Allahs Messenger) has become manifest unto them. But forgive and overlook, till Allah brings His Command. Verily, Allah is Able to do all things.
2 : 256 There is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the Right Path has become distinct from the wrong path. Whoever disbelieves in Taghoot and believes in Allah, then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that will never break. And Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower.
3 : 20 So if they dispute with you (Muhammad SAW) say: "I have submitted myself to Allah (in Islam), and (so have) those who follow me." And say to those who were given the Scripture (Jews and Christians) and to those who are illiterates (Arab pagans): "Do you (also) submit yourselves (to Allah in Islam)?" If they do, they are rightly guided; but if they turn away, your duty is only to convey the Message; and Allah is All-Seer of (His ) slaves.
3 : 64 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians): Come to a word that is just between us and you, that we worship none but Allah, and that we associate no partners with Him, and that none of us shall take others as lords besides Allah. Then, if they turn away, say: "Bear witness that we are Muslims."
3 : 65 O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Why do you dispute about Ibrahim (Abraham), while the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel) were not revealed till after him? Have you then no sense?
3 : 113 Not all of them are alike; a party of the people of the Scripture stand for the right, they recite the Verses of Allah during the hours of the night, prostrating themselves in prayer.
3 : 114 They believe in Allah and the Last Day; they enjoin Al-Maroof (Islamic Monotheism, and following Prophet Muhammad SAW) and forbid Al-Munkar (polytheism, disbelief and opposing Prophet Muhammad SAW); and they hasten in (all) good works; and they are among the righteous.
3 : 115 And whatever good they do, nothing will be rejected of them; for Allah knows well those who are Al-Muttaqoon (the pious - see V.2:2).
3 : 116 Surely, those who reject Faith (disbelieve in Muhammad SAW as being Allahs Prophet and in all that which he has brought from Allah), neither their properties, nor their offspring will avail them aught against Allah. They are the dwellers of the Fire, therein they will abide. (Tafsir AtTabaree, Vol. 4, Page 58).
3 : 199 And there are, certainly, among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), those who believe in Allah and in that which has been revealed to you, and in that which has been revealed to them, humbling themselves before Allah. They do not sell the Verses of Allah for a little price, for them is a reward with their Lord. Surely, Allah is Swift in account.
4 : 162 But those among them who are well-grounded in knowledge, and the believers, believe in what has been sent down to you (Muhammad SAW) and what was sent down before you, and those who perform AsSalat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and give Zakat and believe in Allah and in the Last Day, it is they to whom We shall give a great reward.
5 : 69 Surely, those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah, in His Messenger Muhammad SAW and all that was revealed to him from Allah), those who are the Jews and the Sabians and the Christians, - whosoever believed in Allah and the Last Day, and worked righteousness, on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.
there is no compulsion in Islam;
10 : 99 And had your Lord willed, those on earth would have believed, all of them together. So, will you (O Muhammad SAW) then compel mankind, until they become believers.
10 : 100 It is not for any person to believe, except by the Leave of Allah, and He will put the wrath on those who are heedless.
20 : 130 So bear patiently (O Muhammad SAW) what they say, and glorify the praises of your Lord before the rising of the sun, and before its setting, and during some of the hours of the night, and at the sides of the day (an indication for the five compulsory congregational prayers), that you may become pleased with the reward which Allah shall give you.
20 : 132 And enjoin As-Salat (the prayer) on your family, and be patient in offering them (i.e. the Salat (prayers)). We ask not of you a provision (i.e. to give Us something: money, etc.); We provide for you. And the good end (i.e. Paradise) is for the Muttaqoon (pious - see V.2:2).
20 : 135 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Each one (believer and disbeliever, etc.) is waiting, so wait you too, and you shall know who are they that are on the Straight and Even Path (i.e. Allahs Religion of Islamic Monotheism), and who are they that have let themselves be guided (on the Right Path).

It's not true. The Islamic terrorists follow a fanatical version of Islam which is not shared by the majority of the Islamic world. There is no more of a connection between terrorism and Islam then there is between Christianity and abortion clinic bombings.

Is there a relationship between Christianity and abortion clinics being blown up? Because you know if ONE person from a religion commits a heinous act, then they are all guilty. Right?
Terrorism exits in so many forms that it isn't really fair to try and make Islam responsible for it.
Yes, I know there is no relation between abortion clinics and Islam Laet, it's called sarcasm. Check out the caps on the word ONE above. Duh.

Believe it or not..Islam is againt terroism....Suicide is such a lethal sin in Islam...not to mention killing people is could blood....you can however kill people if that person is a threat to ur life or the life of ur commuinty...in self defense(Jihad)....and No there is absolute no connection between Islam and Terrorists...there are also christian, hindu terrosrits...jus because muslim terrorists dosen't mean there is any connection between Islam and Terrorism....jus a sad reminder of a Great Religon taken hostage by maniacs....

The only relationship seems to be that today 80% of the terrorism in the world is being perpetrated by Muslims.
Its just a gross misinterpretation of the teachings of Mohammed. This is being done so that the their priests can continue to have political power and do what they want.

theres terrorists of every type.. just the islamic ones are the main focus of the world today, but dont let that make you think there is a link. theres lots of good followers of islam too. some people just tend to focus more on the bad.

The truth is that this peaceful religion has been peverted by extremists and terrorists. There is not a relationship between the teachings of the religion and terrorism.

u forgot the most important part of the relationship, it is;
we, people, who unites it all in one, religion, murder, war, love, greed, hate... and on. that is the true story.
we are the creators of this all, every religion, every war is human creation. there are many beautiful things we create, but they are so vulnerable... and endangered by our horrible deeds.

no relationship AT ALL!!
the reasons why muslim people commited suicide bombing is because their rights(their land is taken and houses were destructed by israel) have been taken away. not to mention criminal war israel does such as keep in jail innocent people, killing civillans and many more!!
anybody with any religion will do this!!
