How? Well, firstly, if you are young like in your teens I'd wait until your older. Maybe it would be wise to see how you feel when are say 20. However, if you are 20 and still feel that you like girls, then i'd just go right in and tell your mother. Send her a text message, write her an email, or over dinner one night just blurt it out. You will feel better for it.
My daughter went shopping one day and called me on the phone. She said that she wagged school and waited for me to yell, which of course I didn't. She then told me that she was gay, and I said something like "thats nice dear'. However, whatever happens with you, mums love their daughters for whatever they are - so just be brave and speak the truth.
She is now 23 and still is gay. Her and ger g/f are now travelling through Europe and we have accepted both her and her g/f. They have been together now for 3 years.
Good luck
Beth, in Aussie.

just tell them very calmly and begin 2 open up. after u say u r a lesbian, tell them they can go to those PFLAG places, where parents and their GLBT children go 2 4 more learning and understanding, with u where they can learn more about ur lesbianism. i'm sure things can work out in the end. Good Luck!

I have plenty of homosexual friends, both genders. My best friend Jessica was talking to me when she was bored and told me how she did it. She said that you need to come out with it right away. If your parents disapprove of it tell them that their not the normal ones and either A) tell them that you dont care what they think. B) Run away for a bit, get things straightened out with how your going to approach them. Thats all I can tell you, everyone has a different situation.

well i would just sit them down and explain how you feel about a girl and that you still want them to be there for you when ever you need them.just tell them that is what makes you happy, i wouldn't think it be a great idea to take ur g.f over just then, give it a few days to cool down and then take your g.f.
Good Luck
