No one has seen God and therefore all the pictures that are sold worldwide are just conjectures of some artist. That's why many Christians don't hang a picture of Jesus in their homes. While the picture of Jesus can be imagined with our human comprehension, the real Jesus is beyond our imagination. The awe, His splendour, majesty and glory are beyond any artist's imagination or comprehension.

My friend, I asked a question a week ago about what kind of carpenter Jesus might have been. Like, did He ever smash his thumb with a hammer and cuss like most of us carpenters Do?
And I caught hell from a dozen or so of the responders. And I was only approaching the question light-heatedly.
It's hard to believe that Christ would not have some kind of since of humor, would not enjoy a laugh now and then.

to me the difference is that most pictures of Jesus are an outright distortion. there were no blue eyed blondes speaking English living in that part of the world. he would have been dark skinned with dark hair, and he spoke Aramaic and Hebrew.
