Do you really need to post this question to get an answer? Why? This isn't meant to sound nasty but, geez?

I think that you should clean it with her. It would be a fun experience. Maybe put on some music she likes and make a game out of it so that when she is 27 you won't be cleaning it for her and she just might enjoy it.

Though I do know from experience that if you're going to try to give away baby toys while she's there it will be quite difficult.

So maybe you could clean it with her and then send her out to play with some friends while you're gathering together her old toys.

Have fun!

well...IF you can't do both..start on girls room first..it would give you more time spending it with her and teaching her. What I always do when my boys get MORE and more toys..around Christmas time and birthdays I weed out toys. It is their room, you need to teach her to take care of it, by helping her sort out any broken toys and throw away..and explain she is making room for NEW toys for later. Let her find the broken ones and throw away. as for weeding out her baby toys or unused toys, explain to her the same thing about making room for new toys AND these will go to some little girl that doesn't have any toys and together you and her take them to the salvation army or used store...then once the room is cleaned like you want you could supervise and help her pick out her theme she wants to decorate within your budget...

you could always do your closet the next day and it might be fun if you let her help..I know my boys (10yrs & 6yrs) love to help me in the house doing ANY type of cleaning/working... at that age they are not seeing it as work but as mommy's attintion...but if your closet is something u want done alone you could always do it one night after she is tucked in bed, so you can do this without any interuptions

I was a single dad, I did the things you are speaking of when my daughter was 2, 3, 4, even 5 I helped, by 7 she was cleaning the kitchen, and my room, and the bathroom, and taking out the trash, and helping me cook dinner. Otherwise she got no allowance.

By the age of 7 children should already be developing some responsibility. Help her clean it herself by making a game out of it. Check your budget to see how much you can afford to spend on redecorating or reorganizing and go from there. If you pinch your pennies just right you just might find yourself able to do both.

Follow your heart and do what U really nid to.
For me, I think redecorating her room is the least important one.
I think u should clean her room and if u have any extra time or extra energy, reorganize ur closet.

For those who are being rude:
Hey! She is juz having trouble choosing which to do tml. Do U have to scold her or sth over this type of small matter?

as a former 7 year old, i beg of you -
let her have some say in the re-decoration - the colors or the style or the decorations.

So you could let her pick what she wanted/liked tomorrow, clean you closet, tomorrow
and shop for paint and decorations next week or next weekend.

i think you shold go with re decorating your daughters room...im sure it would bring her much joy from a new room that is more up to date with her current age....
you can always clean your cloet next week...plus painting and redecorating is much more fun than cleaning any day!

You clean your closet, get your daughter to choose what she doesn't want anymore
