9pm on school nights is reasonable, 10:30 on weekends. During the summer I would say 10:30 every night except weekends, which could be later.

I really think that it depends. How long does she usually sleep (on weekends when there isn't school or a place to be)? If she needs to get a full 11 hours of sleep to wake up well then I say earlier but if she tends to wake up after 8 or 9 hours then push the bed time back a bit. If she's having trouble getting up on time in the morning then try making the bedtime a bit earlier.

Kids (like adults) sleep at different lengths. Some kids are morning people and some are night people. Just watch her--her body will tell you if it's too late or too early.

There isn't an exact science to bedtime. I used to go to be by 9 when I was 12 but I also would get up at 5:45 every morning with my mom.

Kids that age need 9-10 hours of sleep so bedtime depends on what time it's time to get up in the morning.

During the school year, my 12 year old goes to bed 9:30-10 PM.

I would definetely say 9 pm is a great time for her age. My son is 15 and we just moved his to 10:30. When he was 12 it was 9 and then we moved it to 9:30 the following year when we saw he was still awake and ready for school. Then we moved it again with age. They need their rest and time to relax before sleep. Bed at 9 doesnt mean she has to sleep right away! lol And they never do!!!! Summer time my son stays up till 2 am weekedays- cuz we both work- and on weekends- no bedtime. But when school hits- bedtime is a major thing!

Well i would say on a school night about 8 or 9 is a good hour. Children really need a good 8 hours of sleep to be good the next day especially for school you know. On weekends about 11 is probably good. But in the summer i would say just let her stay up until shes tired. Me and my boyfriend are watching his 10 year old nephew for the summer and we just let him stay up till he wants. But during the school year hes with his mom and she has him in bed by 8:00 some nights if theres something special on tv he wants to watch or he deserves it she'll give him an extra hour.

Those are reasonable. During the summer they can stay up latter. Not to the point when they are tiered the next day.
