You can't get sick from kissing a dead body - as long as the body isn't like in the gutter or filthy. Kissing your mother at her funeral was perfectly fine and I'm sure you aren't getting sick from that. You are going through a tough time with the loss of your mom and that could be causing you to get sick, if you've been depressed at all.
See your doctor and tell him whats been going on and see what he can do for you.

Unless your Mom had something very contagious, it is very , very unlikely that you would catch anything. Yes, it is very OK to kiss someone that is deceased goodbye, and very sweet that you thought to do so. And if you kissed her after the funeral home took care of her, even more unlikely. There would have had to been a huge amount of germs there, you would have had to have a break in your skin at the exact spot you kissed her and they had to be the kind of germ that invade by that method, or you would have had to swallow a huge amount of germs, and the same thing, it would have had to be the right kind of germ.
How are you feeling sick? Have you had a check-up from a doctor lately? Maybe it is time to do so. Make an appointment, soon, or get to the clinic, if that is what you do. It will relieve your mind, and if you are sick, by some other means, you can get treatment. Be sure and tell the doctor about your fear of having had caught something, he needs to know.
And while you are there at the doctor's office, ask about some grief couseling. There are lots of groups and organizations that can help, that do not cost money. Did your Mom die in the hospital? Call that hospital and ask if they have a group for people mourning the loss of a Mom, they might even have one for young people.
I'm so sorry for your loss, if you need to talk, I bet someone can help you on Answers. I will try to watch for your question, if you do.
I just reread your question, you said "my mother left me". Go get some help, please. It is so hard to lose a Mom, nobody can cope with that, no matter if things were good or bad with their mom, no matter how old or young you are. I lost my Dad, to cancer not to long ago, the counselor at the hospice called me all the time, wanting me to be in a group, but it was not possible, they met when I worked. I'm an adult, and a nurse, and my Dad and I never could get along for long, and it was still hard. I lost my Mom years ago, and I had trouble remembering she was gone. She called me every day at the same time, I did not know what to do at that time of the day. Go get some help.

No, you cannot get sick from kissing your Mom goodbye. I kissed my Mom goodbye on last December 5th and I was sick for a couple months with a bad chest cold. I believe I was run down because of my grief. I am sure this is what is wrong with you. Whatever is wrong has nothing to do with you kissing your mom. I am sorry for the loss of your Mom.

I just spent an hour with my deceased husband this past week, I kissed his lips many timers, and touched his hands and head, when I was leaving the mortician said I must go home and take a shower to avoid sickness since he was not being embalmed, so yes you can!

No you can't get sick! you are probably feeling that way because you lost your mother and you miss her and your immune system is low and your hurting. When my dad past away I kissed him in the mouth and so did my mom and sister and we didn't get sick but we were heart broken. There is nothing wrong kissing your deceased mother it's just that your heart is broken like ours. God Bless you!

Communicable diseases can be transmitted from the body. The make-up that is used is or may be toxic. I have never gotten sick after kissing a body that I know of.

It's safe and you will not get an infection. You're sick from something else. Maybe you're sick from all the stress of losing your mom.

It's just in your head.
Dead bodies only differ from living ones because of bacteria. If it was bacteria that your body couldn't fight off, 3 months would have probably killed you.
I think you're sick more because you miss her than anything else. Emotions can and will mess with your immune system.
