I work at a sports bar with this guy and we are the same age and we have an INSANE connection. He is the perfect gentleman and a very kind and caring person.Pefect guy right?! Almost, except for the fact that he only speaks Spanish and I speak English and very little Spanish. When we make eye contact I just melt, he always holds it more than a few seconds and the connection is crazy, you know what I mean? When you look at that "special" someone and you feel "sparks"?? yah, well that's it. He is always helping me and laughing and joking around even with the language barrier, and we try to communicate as much as possible. I also noticed he looks over in my direction a lot. First off, could he just be being really friendly or do you think he is interested? Also, do you think this is worth pursuing or no? The feelings are just really hard to ignore. My family thinks I'm being silly and naive it's unreasonable to like him. My friends on the other hand think I should go for it. Thx GB!

Well it has never stopped people before , From the beginning of time love has conquered language barriers . for that matter age barriers race , religion etc. etc. If you really like this person and the feeling is mutual I think I would go to library for all the books of my love interest's language and try to communicate .
It's the only real way to see if they are interested , besides once the initial sparks have turned to embers communication will let you know how compatible you will be with each other over the long haul

I Think That perhaps you could suggest him taking an English class and you taking a Spanish class so you could study together ;) and kinda meet each other halfway.

You should go for it and follow your feelings. Language should be no barrier and you will be surprised how quickly you can learn a knew language if you try.

I think you need to get someone you trust to intepret what he is saying to you, try to teach eachother your languages, i would not let a language barrier stand in my way though. go for it and the best of luck

I say go for it, I think he likes you.
Try to learn a little more Spanish, or ask him to teach you and you teach him English in return, it can be a fun excuse to get to know him a little better and maybe you'll get a better idea of his/your feelings.

i agree with your family... how can you get to know him if you've never even really talked to him. but if you think it's that important get a freind that's bilingual or learn the language for yourself that's why im always prepared im multi-lingual english, spanish, french and japanese. spanish isn't very difficult to learn.. but good luck with that.
