I remember when I "discovered" peanut butter and smoked sausage sandwiches, then just the other day I spilled a cup of French-roast coffee (black, no sugar) into a pot of chicken/rice/vegetable stew. It was great!
How about you? Any lucky accidents?

A few times actually.
Happens more often now that food is my job, but you'd be surprised by the following.

Maple Syrup and Corned Beef Hash.
Sausage and american cheese on a blueberry bagel (Very late night. didn't know what I was thinking at the time, but it was great.)
Bluberry BBQ sauce on Porkchops. (That was a serious mess with seriously cool results.)

Green Goddess Salad Dressing on hot dogs and french fries. That stuff spilled on my whole plate, and I was too hungry to care. It's good on a lot of other stuff too, just not salad or Pringles.

Peanut butter and ham salad sandwiches. Yummy. Maybe there should be a peanut butter category.

I was trying to eat less that particular day so I just put lettuce, slices of cucumber and salmon mousse in bread. I thought it would taste bland but turned out great actually:)

On the other hand, when I was young I sprinkled chocolate powder on slices of apples thinking that their sweetness will compliment each other, but it turned out yuckky...I had my brother eat it:p
