I have had this for about 2 weeks now it happens more and more now. It is a really weird feeling. It almost feels like there is something crawling on my face at times and then it also kind of itches. I am not sure if it is a pregnancy thing due to hormones or that the baby is so big now that she is on a nerve and that is what is causing it?

It seems like it gets worse when I stress a lot too. I have also had some dizziness a lil bit with it dont know if it has anythng to do with it or not? but kind of effects my right eye a lil bit as well. Tonight it seems to be itching more than anything. Not so much tingling.

It sounds like something to do with the facial nerves on that side of your face. With my first baby, at about 8 1/2 months I developed a condition called "Bell's Palsy". But that was more facial paralysis [temporary]. I think that if you are retaining a lot of fluid, it is certainly possible that facial nerves could be affected.
Most likely if it is the facial nerves, what you are experiencing will go away after delivery.

The tingling sensation sounds like a pretty good description
of what happens when parts of your body are deprived of
oxygenated blood.

This is similar to the sensation you get when your foot
falls asleep (because you have pinched a blood vessle).

It seems unlikely that the baby is pinching a nerve as the
nerves connected to your face don't go anywhere near
the baby.

However, during the last stages of pregnancy, you may
be sleeping at weird angles to try to get comfortable and
this could be pinching something in your face.

The sensation will probably go away if you stimulate the
tingling tissue with your hand though it may hurt mightily
while you do it.

When in doubt (say it with me): See your doctor!

It is related to pregnancy you need to tell your doc. it could be bell's palsy, he might need to refer you to a neurologist. It happens to some women and you could lose total movement on half of your face. It can be corrected. I had it about 8 years ago( non pregnancy related,?) I went for therapy and I am about 99.9 % recovered, though I was told if it happens again I am not likely to re-recover. My mom was worried when I started talking about starting my family. My response was I am not going to stay childless just to save my face. I now have my 15 month old son and I am fine no recurrences. Thank goodness. Do facial exercises, scrunch your face up, pucker your lips, and smile a lot (exaggerated movements) and relax constantly a few times a day for a few minutes a day. Chew gum and suck on large lollipops. Call your Doc or go ASAP.

The baby can put presure on certain things like blood veins and cause poor cirrculation. It is somethng that happened with me.My whole face would get numb.I thought i was having a stroke.LOL
Mention it when you go in for your check up .i dont belive it's a serious problem.Wasnt for me, went away as soon as baby was born.

My wife had a similar sensation on her arms. The doctor said that the baby was putting pressure on her sp. (sciatic) nerve. It could be that. But it could be a lot of things. It would be a good idea to ask your doctor.

Please get in touch with the doctor. There are several things it could be, most of them not good. Be very detailed in your description of how you feel. Try to note if something sets it off, or if it just happens.
Call the doctor..
