Maybe they can't afford to buy you one right now and don't want to tell you that. If thats not the case, tell them that your school is working more and more with the internet and most of your homework needs to be done on the computer. Tell them that there is also ways to block websites if they are worried about you looking at things you're not soposed to be looking at.

You can't change anyone. you can only change the way you react to other people.

You just might have to put up with your parents until you grow up and leave home. Start working and saving money so that when you get out on your own you can live the way you want to.

Arguments with your parents seem pointless. They have listened to you and you have listened to them. Or maybe no one listens to anyone else.

I would say write down the pros and cons of reasons for a coomputer. Hand the paper to your parents. Then end the discussin. Arguments will only make your parents dig in their heals deeper.

Maybe they don't have the money to buy a computer or they are afraid to look foolish in front of you cause maybe they don't know how to operate a computer.
I think that it is very important for you to practice your computer skills outside of school, as almost every job reuires you to be computer literate.
Is it the computer that they don't approve of or is it the internet? They can get parental controls installed or just ut the computer in the living room so that they can see what you are doing at all times.

Live without a computer, you'll gain a lot of character. Don't sell out to the trends of the future. When you are 18 you can buy your own damned computer.

Computers are not necessary just a convenience. If you need help with schoolwork, go to the library. If you want to talk to friends call them on the phone. If you want to go shopping go to the mall. If you want a computer but your parents won't buy one, then you get a job, save your money and buy it yourself.
