i just got braces about a week ago. my orthodontist wanted to pull three of my teeth to make room to get rid of my overbite. so, six days later, and the spots where two of my three teeth were pulled are very sensitive to anything cold, including breathing in air. it feels like i have a cavity in the spots where my teeth were pulled. i don't think it's a dry socket, because it's not constant, or excruciating pain. but maybe i'm wrong. what could it be?

Don't worry. Isn't braces fun?

I had my wisdom teeth extracted in February and had the same problems. It will heal as long as you avoid spicy and hot foods. Drink plenty of fluid and try your best not to have food stuck in there. If it bothers you constantly, get some warm water with salt and rinse your mouth for about 30 seconds at a time. It will help your gum heal faster and it won't bother you as much when you're breathing.

You have to let it let it heal. I had 2 teeth pulled and my gums hurt for a week and a half. It was torture!
