yes it does...it is referring to man made Gods...but God states that he is the only TRUE God and the only Living God......
so with that said why worship something the Creator made like the trees or wind....or why worship wooden Idols and such....serve the one who made the trees and commands the wind where to blow...the Creator of all things......Jesus is lord

The Bible mentions other deities but does not recognize them as true gods. The important thing to know is that the Bible was written by humans and was not at all divinely inspired. If you pay attention and really think about what you're reading it should become blatantly obvious that the god of the Bible is very far from being omniscient or above man in any way. So that being the case the question is begged - Does it really matter what the Bible says?
I don't pretend to know for sure whether there is a god. I will say however that to be worthy of such a title (God) he'd have to be better than that. If the god of the Bible were to exist I would never call that being "god". Given his fits of anger, jealousy, and his concern for the lowest of human affairs I'd be more inclined to call him "child". The god of the Bible is like a over powered child - the proverbial bull in a china shop. So again; does it really matter what the bible says considering it was not written by any authority above us?

The Ten Commandments state that "you shall worship no other Gods before me". The understanding that an observer (spectator of religion) would see it as saying 2 things. 1. The Christian God is jealous. and 2. That other Gods do exist.
The bible states that it's wrong to worship false idols, because there is obviously no God behind them, and that worshiping is falling upon deaf ears (so to speak).

---Sometimes when the Bible uses the word god, it is talking about something that isn't really a god but is something that someone thinks is a god. Isaiah 37:19 says, "They have thrown their gods into the fire and destroyed them, for they were not gods but only wood and stone, fashioned by human hands."
---I Cor 8:6 says, "yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live."

How about the 10 commandments "There is no other god beside me." Why point out the obvious? I don't feel like I have to tell my kids I'm their only mother. .

A wooden statue can be called a god but is not God. The other "gods" are not real.
