I'm sure that everyone wants to know about how to style their hair but I need some ideas.
My hair can either be curly w/ a mix of banana curls and waves if I just put some gel in it and let it dry but if I let it dry w/o product and brush it out, it gets REALLY frizzy and poofy. I've tried different products to help make my hair lay flat but they don't seem to work. I would love hair that has a shine to it but is soft.
I have a stylist that can do anything but I would love to have some ideas before I go in. I do know that I'm having her give me side swept bangs but that's all I know. Pictures would help tremendously.

I live in a horribly humid climate and with the moisture in the air, my hair really poofs out.

First of all, I think conditioner will help your poof. I use Sunsilk conditioner, and it's really great, becasuse it weighs the hair down making it less poofy, and it also protects your hair from the humidity. I think a loose, curly bun is really pretty and sophisticated. Let a few strands free, it doesn't have to be perfect. Also, braids work wonders for my curly frizzy hair. After a shower, I put frizz cream, and braid my hair. When I remove the braids in the morning, my unruly curls have magically trasformed into soft, neat waves! =)

If you want straight hair ,products alone aren't going to cut it. You need to dress your hair just like they do in the salons. my hair is wavy and frizzy. I can't just wash and go. I use to always try but I've accepted that I can't. I use a chi straightner then I put some frizz serum on it. I'll either leave it straight after that or put some hot rollers in it and style it accordingly. Also with dry frizzy hair don't wash it everyday. That's bad. I only wash my hair once a week.

Your hair sounds like mine and I use a product by Redkin called "Satin Hair", just maybe a dollap about the size of a quarter and rub it in my hands, then through my hair, along with a large round brush. I put the top of my hair in a clip while I style the bottom- just roll the hair through the brush, then take out a little bit of a time from the top, and do each piece. My hair comes out straight and shiny. I really like that product. The product goes for about $15, but if you know someone who works in a hair cuttery, then could get it half price for you..

hey i have that same problem. for me i straighten my hair and then use frizz free stuff to keep down the poof. i have side sweep bangs that go over my eyes. then they are layers. somehow its good. when i went to hawaii it was so hard with my hair. so for that problem use the aussi hairspray or squirts.
if all else fails with the poof u could put it up or wear a hat...i do that too...
sry if that doesnt help but im trying
