it has always been that way but in years past, it was not a part of our daily diet. It used to be a treat for people to have fast food, maybe once a week. Now, people are eating mcdonalds (and other fast food too) every single day, some more than once a day. This has replaced meals at home

Part of it was to meet the demands for larger potions of foods. The original MC hamburger was 4 oz. Now they tout a 1/2 lb. Same with French Fries. Fast food or even eatting out in general use to be a treat.
Those of us who do not eat fast food, realize it's an acquired taste. If you regularly eat it you crave fat & salt, even sugar. When you eat food withoutall the over done salt, fat, sugar your taste buds are not satisfied.
The otherside is true too, once you ween yourself away from it, it tastes bad when you eat it. You'll wonder why you ever thought it was good.

McDonalds has always been fattening. Society tends to eat fast food more often than dining at home. At home you can control the ingredients you put in your food, but when you eat out, you have no control over things like that. It is our own laziness that has caused us to become an obese society.

Gotta watch the movie "Super Size Me" its eye opening In a college class they taught us that if you take a shake from McDonalds and pour it out onto the hot black pavement it doesn't melt. Its made from a filler called "ager" it comes from a tree. so imagine that trying to get through you system. Notice also that they don't call it a milkshake just shake. Their chicken nuggets are made from old chickens that can't lay eggs anymore...need i go on... hope this helps

It is simply giving the customer what it wants. If people want cheap fast food, that's what they get...but they shouldn't expect it to be healthy, then.
