Depends on that Person.

What do you want to achieve and what does that person want to achieve.

Usual Stuff, Such as :
Sex, (Not to give the image of desperation)
Religion (Not to make it a culturally changing thingy)
Past Relationship (Successes or failure)
Politics (Although in some countries it is not so applicable)
Most Importantly, stuff that bore the other Party, ( So all the above can be used to provide interest)

Have seen couples that fight from 1st date, to 1st kid, 2nd kids and so on.

No Hard and fast rule, it seem just how both parties click on, So even don't have cloths on 1st date (Rare, so don't have high hopes on this aspect).

So use Religion as a means for 1st date.

So play by ear, prepare 1 most important thingy, Open Questions to allow the other person to open up.

Cut question that has closed answers like, Flavour Colour, How was the Movie.

So Questions covering Ex, if deployed correctly, maybe show that you are sensitive and caring individual. Used wrongly, show lack of the social skills.

Get this Over with. You Will Crash, But You Will also Score, The More experience you have,m the more likely you will Score.

Score the Thing that We all need the Most, Someone to Help us in our life. (Yes there are strange couples that like to fight, and enjoy it, so be it)

Go out and Listen and Learn about that person. Good Luck, and all the Best.

Taboo-- ex b/f and g/f...yucky health problems--embarrassing ones, acting negatively or rude, talking too much about yourself, umm,,,commenting on other women in view, hah..um..when you lost your virginity and if you have,... sex talk,...arguing over religion or politics.--like abortion or other hot topics. That is just not necessary yet.

Good choices: music, pets, travel, interest, hobbies, foods, school, favorite places/shops, work... a little bit about work and family--not too much or you will look nosy.

Mainly be polite and smile and do not be all touchy on the first date. Respect yourself and your date. And listen to the other person without interrupting. Remember body language is just as important as what you say. So act interested in what they are saying ( if you are) and look at them when they speak and do not seem too distracted--turn your cellphone off or if you have to leave it on--let them know ahead of time so that they will not think that you are being rude.
Good luck!!

Taboo things would be: exes, religion (unless they go to your Church), politics, and anything else that may be argumentative.

Good things to talk about: interests and hobbies, the weather, school or work, and general things about yourself or your date that you would like to know.

Don't talk about religion, politics, or your previous relationships. Those are the biggest three. Give your date plenty of time to talk about themselves (woman like that) and talk when you're asked a question or she's on an interesting subject.

Whatever you do, do not bring up ex-girlfriends. No girl wants to hear about how great/horrible your ex was. Other first date no-no's include politics and religion.
Talk about music, pets, weekend plans, travels and/or your family (if you get along)
