It is tough to get serious input without getting tons of spam and email from other websites just trying to sell me stuff that i don't want.
I'd like to get more content that would be dependable and useable research material for all visitors and people interested.

Just visited your site http://www.highlanderfilm.com and probably the main reason that your site is having problems is that you have a few "keywords" in your meta tags that shouldn't be there, they are not related to your site, so when a spam robots follows a link to your site, you are going to get a lot of "porn related" spam...If you are serious about having a legit money making site "clean up the keywords" and if you do clean up your keywords there are a few free ways to promote your site and bring traffic to it. (1) post your website URL in your emails, join forums, groups that are related to your site, just don't spam, also as "yahoo answers" is a site with a vast amount of updated content, it is indexed regularly by search engines, so if you would have posted your URL in your question. your site will have been visited by search engines robots/spiders (2) regularly submit your website to multiple search engines manually (3) having updated content on your site (4) As for regular updated content, either add content yourself or look into a "RSS" from a related site...for more detailed information visit the link that I will provide for you

Honestly, you need to change your layout. It's too distracting to the eye. It's needs a smoother look.
