My cats names are spider, drist, angel, snoop, pumpkin (we call him punk for short), ozzie, mystery (mimi for short), Howie, scooter, lulu, chester, and Roo.

We mostly named out cats out of personality.

Hope this helps~

Wait until you get your cat to name it. Sometimes seeing him/her will enable you to come up with a name quickly. If not...here are some of the names I've given my cats along with others I've heard and liked.

Sammie, Beau, Max, BJ, Toby, Buttercup and Benny for the boys.

Belle, Lady, Sasha and Molly for the girls.

If this is your first cat, I'd recommend reading up about them, choosing your vet ahead of time and finding a high quality food for your cat. All foods are not the same. A low quality food can cause problems and you will notice your cat will have a lot more waste. High quality foods will enable your cat to live a long healthy life. Don't forget to make sure your cat has fresh water at least 1-2 times a day, perhaps more in the hot weather.

Good luck with your new cat!!

The great thing about a cat is you can call it whatever and 9 times out of 10 they won't acknowledge you...so change it up and when you have company make it where they can relate to the name you call him or her.

Neko-chan. Neko is cat in Japanese and chan is added to the end of a name for children or as a sign of endearment.

This name could be for a girl or boy.

I think the best thing to do is wait till you see the cat. It might have a feature that sticks out and really personifies who it is. I had a cat that we did not name for over a week till we saw her personality and how she reacted to things.

Toss it about 3 feet up in the air. Listen carefully to the sound it makes when it lands. Then put that sound to words and puff--you have your name!

If you wanna get really creative, have the animal land in a tub of water and do the same thing. [NO;;;NOT SPLASH!], that's 2 EZ
