People need gods as a form of comfort, but also as a way to avoid taking responsibility for their own actions. If it's "meant to be" or "as God wills" it to be, then it wasn't their fault if something unfortunate happens - it's God's fault, but there's a reason for it instead of it being just a chance occurrence. On the flip side, it's also comforting to know that someones looking over you during an emotionally bad time.
It's a Santa Claus/father figure that has all of the fatherhood responsibilities, so we can all still be as children and not have to deal with the stuff we can't or don't want to. Complete with a fairytale ending of happily ever after in heaven.

Accepting Jesus as your savior will keep your butt out of hell, and allah can't do a thing for you. God is in control of everything.

death is so close, whether we have a day to live or many yrs. belief in Allah gives us salvation and a reason to live and die peacefully. Allah is justice and we can rest peacefully knowing that if we dont get justice now we will in the eternal afterlife.

To be honest, I think that people need some sort of a higher being as a means of comfort. In this time of violence and war, we dont know what's going to happen. That's why people look up to the higher power for "there's a reason why this is happening" and all of that.

It's easy to think that we don't. Why would we? We seem to be doing fine on our own. But a heck of a lot of people have a hard time not blaming things on God. Anyway, I guess, with every personal belief aside, it boils down to this question:
Where do you go when you die?

You don't have the need yet but when, in the future all love has left your life and you feel all alone he will be the only one you think about. Because you did not pay attention to him HE will not know you and your life will slip away never to return... though art as black as hell and dark as night... unless you step into the light.

We need Jesus. Because he is our Creator and also our Saviour. He is also the only way for us to go to heaven. He also knows everything about us. SO we need to call on HIM all the time.

We don't. These concepts were invented to help People in power control the masses of mindless followers. People will believe anything if it sounds pretty and it promises something nice, like eternal life.
