I believe you answered your own question.

Believing (not seeing) is believing.

Your question is about believing in "something". Can someone believe in the devil without worshiping the devil? I think many people do one without the other.

What you really want to know is can someone believe in God but still not worship God. That depends on what they believe about God (and not on what you believe about God). Some people believe that God exists, but that God doesn't care whether you worship him or not.

Believing in God is as simple as it sounds. Just believing He exists.

This is not enough though, because the devil himself believes in God and trembles.

To be a "Believer" you mean you believe in your heart that Christ died for your sins and God raised him up from the dead.

There's a verse in the Bible that says, "even the demons believe and shudder." God intends for people to give more than "mental assent" to the fact of His existence. Saving faith requires belief in a Who (Jesus) and a what (that His sacrifice on the cross is adequate to forgive all our sin).

Believing in something depends on what your mind can consider acceptable to your own logic or beliefs. If you believe in a GOD even though you do not actually know He exist, its called blind faith. If your mind accept this info and consider it as acceptable, you will actually believed it as Fact, But if your mind reject this info, then you won't believe in it.

Simply acknowledging God is not enough.
(Jam 2:19) Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

To believe in God, you also need to worship and obey Him.

If you believe something, it means you believe whatever you say. If you say "I believe in unicorns" then you believe in unicorns. You're trying to make this way too complicated.

Believing, is acting upon that belief.
Not just words.
Read Acts, it talks about believing.

to believe is to love with all your heart, soul and mind! to live for what you believe in and and gain what you beleive in. to want to bring others to beleive in what you believe in and anything the object you believe in loves, you love. For me, its God, and my faith.
