boy, its gonna be touch and go for a while. jack russell terriers are a high-maintenance type of dog.

maybe they'll get along--man, there's going to be a LOT of adjusting going on at your place for a while!

your female jack may just accept the new puppies with a minimum of fuss. there's going to be some loud discussions on who the alpha is.

then again, she could go nutso---i just don't know what to say without having met your jack russell.

just be sure that you're there and will be close at hand during the introduction. i don't know if you should introduce the jack russell to the pups on neutral territory, or on her territory. it probably would help to introduce the pups to her on neutral territory.

make sure you're there when you go from the neutral territory to HER territory. don't be afraid to step in if the arguments get too mean---remember, you ARE the alpha in this pack!

best of luck!

The best way to handle this is the following:
When the new puppies come home,,have you J. Russel in your lap and introduce her to them. Re-assure her while she sniffs the puppies, that she is still your baby, et. etc.
You will diffuse any jealousy or feelings of being threatened by the new arrivals.

Be careful tho--
Your Russel will demand to be the 'Alpha' Female since she feels this is her house and they are intruders. Monitor her closely for a few days. You may want to have her sleep in your room, away from the puppies at night.
By the time the puppies are about 2 months old, this problem will resolve itself if still present; but at least they will be old enough to take care of themselves.
Remember:
Being puppies, they may take any threats from the Russel as 'play fullness'. That is one reason why you need to monitor any contact closely\Good Luck

OK i kinda have a mean chuchuia. she is possessive and can get mean and bit.see i got her last year and we have a pug which 8 and she controls him and is mean to him but they love each other. than this year like last mouth i got to more chuchuia puppies k and we did not no how they would react to them but if u hold the puppy in your hands and be cautious of showing your other dog the puppy daily and your dogs don't react badly then put the puppy down and watch carefully.your dog is probably possessive of u so be careful. another way to put the dogs together is to put ur jack russal behind a baby gate that you can see through and let the puppy react to it on the other side. but make sure u give them equal attention because they will get jealous and u don't want that.

I think everything will settle down quickly at first. The puppies will accept the female as boss dog, but when they hit "teenager" themselves (between 8 months and a year) and think they are the boss, then their will be fireworks.
JRT are smart and stubborn. They like things their own way and never back down. I think that in a year or so you will be knee deep in fighting dogs.
Good Luck

in case you employ your fingers to push her away or 'hit her', she will be able to evidently come lower back because she thinks you're playing. have you ever tried yelping and walking faraway from her for 20 seconds beforehand paying interest lower back? chew inhibition ought to learn and ought to benefit (particularly than chew prohibition) so as that she learns to have a tender mouth even as she does chew. See this textual content in conserving with Dr Ian Dunbar's techniques (he's a properly-properly-known veterinary behaviorist focusing on pups). you need to reproduction and paste it to a observe record as a thanks to make it more suitable readable. sturdy success which includes your pup.
