It is chafing that has become infected with yeast. Sweat, urine, and feces, if left on the skin, can cause it to break down, turn red, and become infected. Crevices like under breasts, between legs, and under stomachs that never get any air, and are constantly moist, are at high risk for a yeast infection. See a doctor.She/He can give you precription medication for it and follow their instructions to heal it up.. Here is how to prevent it. Keep the areas clean. If you get sweaty, go wash, the sweat starts the process. Change sweaty clothes. Put something absorbant between your bra and you, change it when it gets sweaty.. Wear pants or shorts or long panties,[ pantihose can cause the problem, or make it worse] that keep the skin between your legs from rubbing together. Choose a mild soap to wash with, not shower gel with perfume in it. And make sure the areas are dry, dry, dry, before you put on your clothes. Seriously, use a hair dryer [do not burn yourself] on all the crevices. I do not find that using powders helps, it makes mine worse.
After you see a doctor and get healed up, from then on, at the first sign of redness, clean the area really well with soap and water, I don't care if the soap and water sting a little, do it anyway.Use a clean washcloth every time, and not the same one you use on your face or visa-versa,, and apply a skin barrier. There are lots of brands, ask your doctor to advise you. I use Lantiseptic. It soothes, and heals up a little redness in a day or two. Use only for redness, if the yeast infection comes back, switch back to the prescription cream.
For under your stomach do the same thing. Consider wearing something that holds your stomach up off of your legs and private area, avoid clothes that squish your stomach down and make the situation worse.
For the future, make sure your bra isn;t too tight, go get fitted for one, or at least, use the size chart in the underwear section of a catalogue,, and measure yourself. And wear loose fitting clothes whenever possible. My Mom used to make me wear nylon panties with a cotton crotch. I suffered the agonies of Hades until I was old enough to take my money and buy hi-leg stretch panties, no cotton crotch, no elastic bands around the legs, and I put in a panti-liner like Carefree to absorb the sweat. No more problems, at least not in the area where the leg bands of the panties were rubbing..
In case you have a doubt, I am heavy too, and I am very active and get sweaty. And I am a nurse, my patients get red all the time. This is what the doctor orders when they do..
Good luck, this is a serious condition, it is uncomfortable and it hurts. I am glad you asked for help.

Try rubbing a little Vaseline on the areas. What you have is very common, could be infection caused by yeast. Most overweight people suffer from what you have described. Also, you might try a yeast cream. After you have used the Vaseline or yeast cream and the infection has cleared up, try an antiperspirant only in those areas. It might keep it dry enough. I don't think I would add powder.

My fahter had something like that after hernia surgery, he was overweight a bit too and the extra weight hangs over other skin areas that need to breathe.
You are getting sores, as in bed sores , from the excess weight anyd sweat the skin is fragile and friction causes it to get worse too.
Its better thought of as when baby's get a diaper rash. Its the same thing. WEt sskin, no breathing no air and skin does that which you describe.
Your best bet is to keep the area affected as dry as possible, dont apply creams, more like talcum poweder or something made for baby's rash that is in a dry form so your body 's sweat absorbs it and hopefully youwill stay drier and teh rash will go away.
SO ITS A SKIN RASH YOU HAVE. Very common among heavier people.
I am a toothpick myself and all i get is very dry and itchy skin too. To the point that my skin so delicate needs my clothes even to be very soft.
That is another thing you should think of, CLOTHESS! THE ONES YOU WEAR ARE THEY NYLON OR POLYESTER those materials dont breathe. you need linen or cotton or wool which breathes and lets yr skin get dry.
This last point just came out as I thought of my situation with my own skin. I cannot stand anything that is fake on my clothes to wear for my body and skin make me so uncomfortable.
So choose loose clothes that breathe, try to go naked (seriouslY) in yr home or bathroom for a brief period of time to let yr skin breathe, then apply baby rash poweder potions and I think you will be fine.
If you can, drink a lot of herbal tea and try to eat less so you can loose some weight and lessen the problem. With all my heart I say this.
I hate when the body feels uncomfortable and skin problems.
Good luck and try what I say! Talk to a doctor too so he can monitor a way that you can manage the weight safely and avoid the problem altogether.

I have had the exact same thing you have had in the exact same spots. Try using neosporin or triple anti-biotic cream. No matter how bad it itches do not scratch it. It starts out from just a chaffing. It itches real bad and then it hurts like crazy. Next time you start to get it...put cortizone cream on it right at the first itch until gone. Do not put it on now...it will burn like crazy. Often when it starts oozing it can turn into impetigo. Be sure to wash it off three times a day and keep neosporin on it. It will take some time but it will go away!

most chaffing problems are intermittent with increased level of activity and would not likely affect the lower abdomen. it is possible that you could have a yeast infection. most people associated yeast with an gyno problem for females but yeast can and will live on skin if the conditions are right. the conditions include moisture which you can control to a certain degree with powers and such but also skin pH which is much harder to control. there is over the counter medications you can try but i recommend seeing a MD because some types of dermatitis can spread very quickly and and cause some long term problems

Sure it could be infection, so give serious thought to seeing a doctor. But most likely it is just irritated and inflamed.
You gotta stop what causes the irritation:
keep it dry
keep it from rubbing against more flesh
Use Zeasorb AF powder today. Get it from a pharmacy.
Get some underwear that keeps your thighs from rubbing together

Sounds like an infection if it's leaking wet stuff and bleeding. I'm sure there is a topical antibiotic that a physician can prescribe. It could also be a type of fungus that is irritated by the heat...like athlete's foot. An over -the-counter fungicide might help as well. Good luck.

I get the same thing under my breasts. Constricting underwire and bacteria from sweat are the culprit. My OB said it was a yeast infection. Wash it, and get some Monistat cream for it. It should heal in a weak. After it's healed, use baby powder to keep it dry, and diaper rash cream to heal the rash and to keep an infection from starting.

What it might be depending on how overweight you are, areas of you skin are rubbing together and causing irritation. This can sometimes be called chafing. Its was a huge warning sign for me and let me know that i needed to see a doctor and start living my life a healthier way. Don't scratch, you might want to go to target or wal-mart and look for a anti-chafing powder. I hope I could help.

could be a yeast infection. My mother is overweight as well, and has had this happen. You should go to a doctor for medication, and air the area out a couple times a day (in the privacy of your room).
