The 'Israeli War' as you put it, has absolutely nothing to do with the religious right or Armageddon. Israel will not stop causing sh*t in the Middle East until we are all involved in a devastating Third World War. We all act as if the whole Arab world are a bunch of terrorists, and until we listen to their point of view, that's what more and more of them will become. The blind and irrational support of the US for Israel is making it increasingly unpopular in the rest of the world. We must ask ourselves if this 'support' for a people hell-bent on destabilising the Middle East is worth the price we have to pay.

I am aware that many around the globe are actively engaged in trying to complete the "signs" of the end of days ... as a means of bringing it sooner (very odd).
So, while I hadn't thought about this in relation to the Israeli conflict (I was too pre-occupied with the wild notion of not bombing innocent civilians), it has some potential for validity.

It's definitely not just you. I think many in the religious right--the blowhard hypocrites, anyway--can't get the world to end fast enough so they can be whisked off to Heaven and end the pretense of loving their neighbor.
An earlier poster asked why, if Christians believe in Heaven, they're not so keen to die. Now, if Armageddon happens soon, they can get to Heaven without dying, or so they believe. They're in a hurry to enter Heaven, and who can blame them? If the place existed, and I knew I could get in, I couldn't get in fast enough, either.

Well, all I can say is that people do crazy things in the name of religion....think of this, why wouldn't anyone acknowledge that the bible is an incomplete work put together by Constantine in order to create stability in the region? So many books were left out of the bible it isn't even funny, and then people taking the book literally....

Because we know that the end is near, and we would much rather be absent from the body and united with the Lord Jesus. We don't delight in war and sufferings associated with it, we just know God has decreed these things to take place before the end will come.

they want to finaly convert all of the middle east into jewdism and christianity. three crusads and a lot of talking have not changed the minds of those who would reather die than change religions. not to mention the larger oilfields thee. most of which would be destroyed in the fighting and leave one mother of a big fire to try and but out.
