A very small amount, won't hurt, but it's best to stick with dry food until they are adult, because kittens have sensitive stomachs and it can cause loose stools.

Put it in front of them, if they start eating it, it's o.k. Once they start going off on their own from their mommy, they are pretty much ready to be trained as kittys. I know this because I had a cat that had kittens and she turned on them at about 8 weeks. She was hissing and clawing at them. I thought, oh great, how are they gonna get fed now? So I put food in front of them and wouldn't ya know it? they started eating it. They also went potty in the litter box too that same day!!! It was dry kitten food that I gave them by the way. Not wet.

It's OK to give your kitten a little of the moist food, however most of their diet should consist of dry kitten food. The dry kitten food contains the supplements they need for growing bodies and moist food does not have the correct amounts of supplements for kittens.

Chicken breast minced up with a little soft rice mixed in and rather than cooked egg, some raw egg yolk. Canned tuna is very salty, but if she will eat a little, feed it to her. Or if you would like to go to the store and get her some low-sodium or salt-free tuna and give that a try. Some low salt turkey breast from the deli. You can get Gerbers baby chicken, mix it with a tablespoon or so of Gerbers baby rice cereal, and add a raw egg yolk and some Lactaid, Lactose-free milk. But that would represent an investment, and I don't know if you want to go to that trouble. If you have some fish in the freezer, sautee it in butter with a little garlic, let it cool completely, and try that. You are not in an emergency situation. You just have to fill in a meal or two, and if you care enough to ask this question, you are already taking excellent care of your little lady. So find something that she likes and let her eat it. One meal or two meals isn't going to hurt her at all. Basically, this is just a fill-in meal.

an eight week old pet should be fully weaned and able to eat kitten food. Please get the formula made for kittens as it has the nutrients they need for their growing body.

Of course. Unless the kitten is premature. You might want to wait one more week if he is.
