The monument of "Crazy Horse" which upon finished will be the biggest monument in the world blasted out of rock just like Mt. Rushmore which is a stone throw away. It depicts an Indian Chief on his horse which his arm outstretched. When someone asked him "How far does your land go?" he answered "As far as my dead are buried." I was very much taken in by the enormity of this statute more so then the Park-like atmosphere at Mt. Rushmore.

1. Washington D.C. - I think it is important for every American to visit our nation's capital. There are a lot of really neat historical sites such as the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, J.F.K. Memorial, Library of Congress, Smithsonian Museum, etc.

2. The Daniel Boone National Forrest - It is beautiful, The Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge are both really cool places to go hike, see nature, repel, & climb. I highly recommend these, but I am partial since I live in Kentucky.

3. Mammoth Cave - Cave City, KY - Mammoth Cave is AWESOME. You can go on different tours depending on how long or short of a tour you would like. Last time I went, we went on the 3 - 4hr tour and got to eat at the cafeteria down in the cave, it was a very unique experience.

I hope this gives you a few ideas! :)

The Grand Canyon for sheer grandeur. The beauty is nearly overwhelming.

Washington, DC because it's this nation's capital.

Muir Woods in northern California to experience the amazingly gigantic redwood trees.

My home to meet the two most wonderful cats in the whole wide world. Oh, all right, so this one I'm biased about.

Tumble Tim.

1. The Nation´s Capital and your first stop should be the
Vietnam Memorial.
2. The home you were born in.
3. The homes your parents were born in.

Those would be my musts.

The Carlsbad Caverns in Carlsbad, New Mexico. It's state owned so the entrance fee is very low. It's nature at its best and they are always discovering new caverns.
