Can Bank Robbers keep the money they took 5 years ago?

So my answer is No-but I do think if they kept their nose clean and stayed out of trouble-and were working or going to school-that should count for them-when they try to get Legal. They still need to meet requirements.

Absolutely not! This is so absurd, I can't believe this is even being considered! That's like saying, "Good for you - you managed to elude the authorities for 5 years so now we are going to reward you for that! Boy, you sure are smart! Here's automatic citizenship!" No frigging way!

I say, ship 'em out - deport ALL illegal immigrants whenever they are found and whenever they emerge for whatever reasons - they are here illegally and need to be deported. Add to that, they should be excluded from consideration of returning for a set period of time, say 5 years, for being deported. However, if they leave voluntarily, at their own expense, and have not committed any further crimes WHATSOEVER since crossing the border illegally, including have not used fake or stolen ID for any reason - then, and only then, would I think they should be allowed to apply through proper channels immediately after deportation, but their application should still be put to the bottom of the pile of others who have already applied legally and have been waiting and doing things the right way. As well, in order to apply to return the legal way, they should be fined a set amount per year for the time they were in the US illegally in order to recompensate the USA for the income taxes they did not pay and for any social services, including medical and school systems, that they used while in the country illegally.

That is the ONLY way that I would be okay with treatment of illegal immigrants!

nope.

Any immigrant (mexicans included) should have to go to the end of the line and come through the legal way.

Why should an illegal person be rewarded with citezenship for eluding the law for 5 years.

The only papers these immigrants should receive are deportation papers.

MOST DEFINITELY! and Jewelry and a home with three square meals a day!
And free travel, too!

What I think they should receive would be a fingerprint sheet and conviction judgement papers from a court, stainless handcuffs and a nice cozy prison cell with a bigot who hates their peticular ethnicity!
Then a bus ride to the border and be dumped there!

First, they should be charged with the CRIMES they've already committed. If I got a job using a fake social security card and a fake ID, then I would be jailed for identity theft.

Put the illegal immigrants in jail. Then deport them with a criminal record.

No, why reward some one for violating the law for that long. That is like saying
" So, you have been dumping waste into the river for over 5 years now, well I guess the EPA, will just need to let you keep doing it."

NO! i dont think so! Why should we reward someone for breaking the law? And i also dont see why the mexican americans r stickin up 4 them, they actually WORKED to get a citizenship! I think we should give them a set amount of time to EARN papers, and if they dont make the deadline...back to mexico!

Yeah, walking papers. They aren't immigrants, they're squatters. I would say, "Get your terminology straight"... but honestly, even I'm getting a bit confused with all the euphemisms flying around these days.
