a dog's nose is going to feel a little warmer somtimes to a human. there temps are higher. a good indication is stick your finger in it's ear if it is steamming hot then it has a temp. this is still going to be hotter to you though and unless you are use to it then it's really not a good indication. a dog's temp is usually between 100-102 at the most. so they are going to feel warmer to the touch to you.

It is probably just missing it's owner. I wouldn't worry too much

Usually dogs sleep all day, but sometimes my dogs nose is warm and others it is cold. Do you have any other reasons to believe he is sick? If so, I wouldn't take a chance, and I would take him to the vet!!

I have 3 dogs and I've found the temp of their nose doesn't mean anything. Dogs sleep about 14 hours a day and since the dog your watching is away from it's home and family it maybe feeling a little sad. Try to give him a lot of attention and walk him ,dogs love to be walked. I bet he will perk up!!

A warm nose does'nt necessarily mean he's sick. He's probably suffering a mild case of seperation anxiety.Give him lots of attention and try to interest him in playing with you to help him get over it.But keep a close eye on him for any new symptoms.
I wonder, have you changed his food to a different brand than what he's used to eating? He may have a tummy ache.

If the nose dries out and starts cracking, then he is sick. The sleeping might be from seperation anxiety. Just give him time, and he will either come out of it, or the owner will return. If you really think he is sick, best bet is a vet.

It doesn't matter. That's not an indicator of how they are.
He's probably sleeping a lot because he misses his friend. He may even stop eating till she gets back because he's depressed. It happens ALL the time. Just play with him a lot. DO NOT feed him any food besides his own(to cheer him up) as you will just upset his stomach & he'll need meds to calm it down with a bland diet.

This dog may be sick so keep an eye on him like mentioned above.
Also this dog might just be depressed. He may miss his owner. or feel abandoned by them. Be playful with him.
He may also just be the kind of dog that does sleep a lot.
_Good Luck

ive been told that if their nose is warm they are sick. just keep an eye on him for any other symptoms and you may want to tell your friend about it.

He may be experiencing a withdrawal because his Master is not there to be with him. Try playing with him or take the little guy out for a peaceful walk.. nothing to vigorous but something he may enjoy.
