Before you go to the doctor, check a few things.
1. Do your shampoos have a heavy perfumy smell? Sometimes the chemcials in shampoo can have an adverse effect with body chemitry.
2. Do you have hard water? Or perhaps bad water. You may want to buy a cheap water test kit at Home Depot or such and check it.
3. Are you rinsing well enough? Obviously if #2 is the issue, rinsing won't help, but it might be the issue if you have long or very thick hair.
4. If those three aren't it, consider seeing your doctor. It could be something in your diet (i.e. garlic, onions, etc) or something else entirely.
You can also try eliminating the odor. There's this stuff called Approach. You can get it online at www.approachit.net and it's safe to use on your body so you can spray your hair or even pour it in your hair to eliminate the odor.
Good luck!

I find the australian shampoos have a very pleasing scent to them as well as the conditioner. I usually smell a shampoo if I am using it for the first time. Not sure what kind of odor you are refering to, but I myself find when I don't have a fresh towel and I dry my hair with it, it has a different smell. Kinda like a damp smell. Alot of people use a towel more than once, but I get a fresh one every time, especially for drying my hair. I also use leave in conditioners that have a fruity smell, either strawberry or pear etc. Good Luck.

spray your hair with a great smelling oil sheen like Isoplus Oil Sheen. That's what I use after I've dyed or permed my hair.

It's from the natural oils on your scalp. See a dermatologist if it bothers you that much. Good luck:)
