Do policeofficers (male and female) really have "groupies"? and if so what are some of the crazy things they do? Reason I ask is the following artical (also plays into another question I asked)

Yep. DH and I were both on duty and a chick came in the PD waiting on a child custody exchange, she was absolutely throwing herself at him - right in front of me. I just let it ride, watched and waited... until it was time for me to go and then I casually asked him what he wanted for dinner that night... you should have seen her face... It was priceless!

I was hit on one night by a brother of a man I had just arrested. He even watched me hog-tie his brother after he tried to kick out the windows of my patrol car. I was probably at least 15 years his senior, married and had just arrested his brother. weird
I was hit on by several women. When in uniform, I didn't wear makeup and kept my hair very no-nonsense... so I guess they just assumed I was "playing for their team"?

I think one is just about as bad as the other. My ex-husband is a musician. I can't tell you how many times, I'd be awakened by a knock at the door at 4am, to find some sweet young thing (who had followed his truck home from the club) standing on our front porch. After the first time, I came to really enjoy the expressions on their faces when I opened the door in my robe!

As for the crazy things they do...(I was one of the lucky ones....he didn't cheat until long into our marriage) All I can do is sigh and shake my head. They defy description.

There's no doubt in my mind that police officers go throu the same kind of nuttiness.

Badge Bunnies can be horrible. I've seen them chase down my guy friends on traffic stops just to see what they are doing, hanging out at the station all the time, bringing them food and one went so far to invite herself to a private party we were having because she found where he lived and saw the lights and all the cars.
Since I'm in 911 - I had a guy call 18 times trying to get the courage to ask me out because he liked my voice on the radio.
I also had a stalker for awhile that would wait for me outside, and leave notes on my car, finally one of the officers had a chat with him.

Yes, I can't understand why, take a look at my photo, not a real stud muffin in anyones dream. But as a officer I even ran into it. So not only do they have groupies, but they have don't have alot of sense either

Ferret, you should try working in a police department. Cops have an amazing sense of humor. It's usually rough, crude, and strongly politically incorrect, but it's funny as hell, unless you're on the wrong end of the long arm of the law. Then you don't have much to laugh about any way.

yes they really do its crazy I know but most people just love to see a person male or female in a uniform. They go crazy over soldiers too, crazy huh!!!!!!!!!!
