Disregard the idiots who say your tube is " shot ", the fault you describe fits an AGC fault where a normal signal overloads the signal circuits , in other words the gain of the TV receiver is turned full on all the time, the answer may be found in the sound/vision IF chip where the AGC section may well be contained, It can be a tricky fault to find as it is not all that common, that's the best I can do , Good luck .

I think you should replace picture tube. There are cathode rays which displays colours through picture tube. It is main part of TV screen. I think the picture tube cannot be repaired. So place a new picture tube. It has high cost but ofcource less than new TV.

Picture tube is shot. I had a TV like that too once. Time to buy a new one. (You COULD replace the tube, but a new TV would be much more cost effective.)

I'd definitely take it back to the store; something straight out of the box shouldn't have ANY problems at all. You paid for a new, working TV, and that's what you should have.

your picture tube is shot and it would be cheaper to buy a new tv than to have the old one fixed
