I even know that Jehovah's Witnesses only religion that knock the door another people's house to talk about Jesus and god whatever it was. I think not their job to try get people join their own religion. God give us will in our life between wrong and right. I sure that almost whole the world people already choice their religion even worship evil, idol fake god. I think JW have no respect for another people and very stubborn. When JW knock my house and I told them I not in interest. They keep come back and I say samething again. Finally they not bother us no more and i hope it never happen again.

I liked my friends approch when he saw them coming...he tucked his Glock .40 (a hand gun) into his waist of his plain red gym style shorts, had on some raggity looking house shoes ( you know the ones that are about 2 dollars a pair at wal-mart)...he was wearing a tank-top (or wife Beater shirt)...holding a bottle of beer and a marlboro hanging out of his mouth as he answered the door.

Yeah, he never has had another visit from Johovia's Witnesses.

First of all, they didn't choose you personally.
They knock on everybody's door for this important reason:

They try their best to live up to what true Christians should be and that's to follow EVERY command Jesus has spoken when he was on earth. One of these is stated in Matthew 28:19, "Go therefore and make disciples of ALL NATIONS, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the holy spirit, TEACHING THEM TO OBSERVE ALL THE THINGS I HAVE COMMANDED YOU."

For the same reason, they keep coming back to make sure that everyone is given the message. They well know that people's circumstances change. Even if you don't like them coming to your door, they still do because you might have moved out and a new tenant occupies the place. They just want to make sure that the new person does not miss out on their very important message. Besides, you make it sound like they knock on your door everyday to make you feel that annoyed. The truth is, in most cases, depending on the area of the territory they cover, it takes about 4-6 months before they can do the same territory again.

As for the allegations about ranking and points received for preaching, it is completely false. In the past, they asked for some money to cover cost of printing because the work of JWs are solely financed by voluntary contributions as was true with the early Christians. (2 Corinthians 8:12; 9:12)
Nowadays they don't have a fixed price for printing costs anymore, but still accept donations. They know that simply preaching does not assure them everlasting life. When it comes to ranking, don't worry about it. Every JW knows that having a privilege in the organization is not easy. Position in their case is a service, not an authority. Elders in every congregation have to work to feed their own families as they don't receive any salary or allowance from the organization. This makes them different from other religions where priests/ministers/pastors are fed by their own "flock".

I am so tired of you people bashing us when you have no Idea what we really stand for.
1) If you are not dressed or don't feel like coming to the door don't wait a few knocks and we will leave but we will be back
2) We don't score any points for going door-to-door it’s a volunteer act and even though we do turn in a time report it's just so the brothers know how much were getting out and they know some people can go out more then others so they won't get mad at you for putting in few to no hours.
3) How hard is it to give like 5 minutes just to let us talk?
4) We are not trying to convert you although we would be very happy if you wanted to become a JW we are just at your door to share some good new and are always happy to hear you read the bible or even recite the Lord’s Prayer.
5)Did you ever think of how hard it is for us to get out and talk to complete strangers not knowing how they are going to react. I am a very shy person and really find it hard but if you just listened imagine how much more confidence that would give me
6) Please don't yell at us we to can have our feelings hurt and if you kindly tell us to leave it would be much better.
7)for those of you who say you come to the door with guns and start screaming at us please don't we do bring little kids with us bright little kid who can barely talk are happily declaring what they know and if you come yell at them it can really affect the rest of their life.

Peace. After reading most of the comments here, it is evident that some harbor a deep seated resentment to this sect. Whilst, primitive Christians did preach and teach from door to door, and the modern day Witnesses do likewise, many seem to resent their sacrificial selfless efforts in this regards. No wonder therefore, that those who stubbornly refuse to hear the Good News about the Christ, and the Kingdom that is to come, this apply: 2 Thessalonians 1:6-10 New International Version (NIV) 6 God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you 7 and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels. 8 He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. 9 They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might 10 on the day he comes to be glorified in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed. This includes you, because you believed our testimony to you.

The reason Jehovahs Witnesseses knock on doors is because at Matthew 28:19 Jesus Commands christians to "Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them"

We do not just go door to door either because we are commanded to we care about what we see around us. We see that this world is suffering. Jehovah loves every single person in this world. The bible talks about Jehovah In Luke chapter 12 that he remembers when to little sparrows die he remembers them but jesus also reminds us that Jehovah has each one of our hairs numbered and that we are more valuable than 2 sparrows.

Obviously Jehovah has a plan for us. His original plan is for us was to live forever. If you ask anyone do you want to die most would say no. Jehovah when he created us instilled that in us. He sent his son Jesus down to earth so that he could die for our sins and Jesus fortold of things to come.

Matthew 24 3-14 3 While he was sitting upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples approached him privately, saying: “Tell us, When will these things be, and what will be the sign of your presence and of the conclusion of the system of things?”

4 And in answer Jesus said to them: “Look out that nobody misleads YOU; 5 for many will come on the basis of my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many. 6 YOU are going to hear of wars and reports of wars; see that YOU are not terrified. For these things must take place, but the end is not yet.

7 “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another. 8 All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress.

9 “Then people will deliver YOU up to tribulation and will kill YOU, and YOU will be objects of hatred by all the nations on account of my name. 10 Then, also, many will be stumbled and will betray one another and will hate one another. 11 And many false prophets will arise and mislead many; 12 and because of the increasing of lawlessness the love of the greater number will cool off. 13 But he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved. 14 And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.

Here we can see in verse 6 that it is descibing the current system we are living in over the last 100 years we have seen more wars more food shotages and more natural disaters then ever before.

In verse 9 it starts talking about followers of jesus being objects of hatred by everyone in the world. No doubt most people in the world hate jehovahs people because we are no part of the world.

In Verse 14 Should def answer your question "and the GOOD news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all nations and then the end will come.

Jesus fortold that the good news of the kingdom would be preached in the whole world Jehovahs witnesses are trying there best to fulfill that prophecy that soon this system will end.

In Revlation 21 verse 4 it talks about the gods kingdom by saying And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

That is why we go door to door to tell people about Jehovahs ending of this system and the hope for his new world.

Really, everyone who respects and obeys Jesus Christ goes from door to door to teach his neighbors about the Bible's good news. It is interesting that only Jehovah's Witnesses are so clearly identified with the preaching work; globally more than 6 million preach publicly each month.

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you.

(Acts 5:42) Every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus.

(Acts 20:20) I did not hold back ...from teaching you publicly and from house to house

It's sad when someone who claims to respect the bible actually insults or even advocates attacking a peaceful preacher. Sad but completely expected.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching... You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

Really, if someone goes out of their way to disregard Christian preachers and preaching, what is he saying about himself?

(Luke 10:1-17) After these things the Lord designated seventy others and sent them forth by twos... “He that listens to you listens to me too. And he that disregards you disregards me too. Moreover, he that disregards me disregards also him that sent me forth.”

It is part of moving up in the ranks in their church to go knocking on doors. Here is how my beloved spouse got rid of them.
He was working swing shift and had come home from working graveyard shift. The man had been in bed long enough to get to sleep when the door bell rang. He sleeps buck naked and the sound of the bell ringing so p'd him off, he jumped up out of bed, ran to the door and opened it. When he saw the two women in dresses with their literature in hand, he started bellowing at them to the the H off his porch and never come back. The sight of a mad as hell, 6 foot tall well built naked man must have really put the fear of God into them because we haven't seen them in more than ten years. We live in a small town so I'm sure it didn't take long for the rest of the JoHo's to find out where NOT to ring a door bell.

The religious lack the decency and respect not to harass people with their pedophilic filth. They falsely claim that their criminal - oops, religious - convictions give them some sort of "right" to invade your property and assault you with unwanted hate speech and threats.

They have a right to their religion, to practice it and to talk about it to *WILLING* listeners, but once they cross the line into harassing unwilling parties, they lose the right to expect no repercussions.

What I did was look into self-defence and trespassing laws and keep by my door at all times two things: a bucket of water (for winter) and a bowl of vegetable oil (for the summer). I would tell the godbots to leave, pick up one of the containers and give them a count of five ("5...4...3..."). I once threw the vegetable oil and hit with it, though most times they turn tail and run once they realized what I was prepared to do. I was never prosecuted.

That doesn't mean you should use physical force to remove trespassers, but if you choose to, make sure it is non-injurious and within the bounds of the law.

One substance you might want to consider are sprayed dyes. They stain skin for days or weeks (and clothes permanently) but are completely harmless. Be sure to check the legality of owning it *before* purchasing, never mind its use. Sprayed on the face or skin, it will make them more easily identified by the police if you choose to press trespassing charges.

To "Angel":

Sorry, but you're wrong. The religious don't have the decency to obey "no religion" signs. I had "no religion" and "no salesmen" signs and their argument was, "Yes, but our message is important...". It was they who walked away covered in vegetable oil.

Listen! Our point in going door to door has NOTHING of trying to get you to join our faith!..... Well a little, lol, but we are trying to spread God's word! If you read the bible then you should have seen that Jesus told everyone to go door to door and spread the word of the upcoming kigdom. Sp please, stop bashing us if you don't have ANY clue what we truly stand for! So many people don't even listen! I admit at the begginng of my joining the faith, I did not like it, but I learned more and actually listened to what God, Jehovah, had offered me and I then became very interested and joyfull about it! Stop tlaking so badly about us, please!

When they come to my house they are always so polite and respectful. They never start into their preaching right away, and this is good. they always make an appointment to come back in a day or a week. this gives me time to dig out the Satanic Bible and related texts and paraphernalia, and draw the geometric symbols required. The hardest is to get the live roosters delivered on time. When they return I always give them a large and ornate cup of tea, they never refuse because they are so intent on being polite,in hopes of finding a new convert to their cult, if only they knew.........
