It depends on what you value. I don't think that anyone should get married just because they are pregnant, beacuse that is just setting up the marriage for failure. If you think that it is time for you and your significant other to make the commitment then being married first is ideal....expecially in our society. Do what is best for you ....worry about everyone else later...or not at all. Just remember to think ahead and make informed decisions!

Movies don't reflect real life in general. I heard a talk show this morning on the radio or yesterday that said that there are 7 highprofile celebrity couples who have chosen not to get married and are having a baby together. ie: Brad Pitt and Angelina, Tom Cruise and Katy Holmes. Although Tom and Katy claim that they will eventually. It just depends on the situation and I've quit judging people about that kind of stuff anymore. And I've quit being so hung up over it in my own life as well.

Religion wise, its wrong. Socially its no longer taboo but trust me the older heads see an unmarried woman pregnant they would look at you in digust but it has become the norm and honestly being married these days just leads to divorce as long as you know that you are able to financially raise a child on your own your good other than that organize yourself before even thinking of having a baby. To answer your other question, movies do not reflect real life at all.

WRONG!

If the movies reflected real life everyone that got married would live happily ever after and ride off into the sunset and there would be no such thing as divorce

Well it's not the end of the world but if you can plan the baby I would make sure to married first.
Babies are hard work and a big strain on your relationship so it's important to have lots of together time before you add a baby.

Movies are fiction, not real life. If your pregnant and not married, well, I am a little bit old fashioned, but as long as there is love, respect and commitment, well, its OK.
