I'm getting married in November and would love to have my relatives come from Colombia. What are the chances that they will get the appointment at the U.S. Embassy in Colombia and get approved for a tourist visa by then?

the purely question i'm able to work out in this submit is "is that this (the U. S. visa coverage) insane???" and the answer is, no. US Consular officials are somewhat sensible, quite educated overseas service officials who base their judgements on prevalent protocol and triumphing in-us of a circumstances. The non-immigrant visa refusal cost is as extreme because it really is for an similar reason the Ukraine should not be growing to be a member of the european Union any time quickly - rampant fraud and prepared crime. A joint US/Ukrainian learn in 2002 confirmed that: the final revenue interior the Ukraine replaced into US$30/month; over 32,000 Ukrainian women people were indexed in about 2 hundred "marriage" organizations; and a couple of thirds of all youthful girls people surveyed suggested that they wanted to bypass in yet another us of a and were hoping to marry a Western guy to keep them from their complications. i'm guessing you've by no skill been to the Ukraine and met your close own chum, so that you haven't somewhat considered what it really is like in Odessa. remember that even a good-ranked time-honored practitioner interior the former Soviet Union purely makes about US$500 a month; ask your self - the position did she get the money to purchase an domicile for money (and no, i do not imagine that is from operating in a well-being facility the position sufferers nevertheless ought to bribe medical doctors and nurses with money and alcohol as a thanks to get remedy, or from treating pimples area time)? possibly there is more suitable validity to the visa coverage than you imagine.

i am not sure, but i think you dont have to go through embassy if you want them to come here.as long as they are not staying longer than 90 days.they will get a stamp in their passport at the airport and will have to fill out a visa waver on the plane.not sure if that goes for all countries.
