I had this dream last night that this figure who kept changing back and forth into a woman and man.He/she had dark hair and was wearing a dark red robe. This person told me his/her name was Uriel and then it walked into me and I could do all these weird things like move objects with my mind. He/she kept telling me that it was here to help me with my creativity and get my life on track. Recently I lost my job and I am broke and very scared.
Anyway, I am not religious but this person felt so real to me...so I looked up the name and apparently this figure depicts Archangel Uriel (right down to the dark red robe and the creativity thing). However, I was not exactly comforted by this angel if he/she was one. He/shewas domineering, intimidating and actually scared me a bit. I wanted to get away from he/she because his presense was so thick it was choking me. Aren't angels supposed to be comforting?
Did an angel visit me? And if so... why was I so scared of it?

I'm curious, what, if any, knowledge you had of Uriel, prior to this dream? ...That could explain a couple of 'things'...like for instance, "How did you know this 'was' Uriel?

Uriel is an "archangel", one of the four angels who guard the throne of God. Uriel means God of the Light, or God is Light.Uriel would most likely, if seen, be holding a large flaming sword. He is to guard the gates of heaven...He is the angel of Salvation, and helps us to heal our lives, turning disappoinment into victories. "I now stand in the flow of the Divine Love, unconditional forgiveness and unlimited abundance of the creator God.."What troubles me is the "red robe" thing, it just doesn't seem to fit? An "archangel" is a 'little' different, that your average, everyday, garden variety of angel. The 'power' would be intense, and frightening! But, the robe thing, just doesn't do it for me...again, we would have to go back to see if you have had any preconceived ideas about Uriel, to accurately interpret this!

Who can really say no to a "vision" or dream like that. I would give him/her another chance after all the angel wants to help you become more creative and help you get back on track you said. If I were you, I would be excited waiting for the next visit. Try and calm yourself and be open, receptive, to whatever the angel wants to tell you. When you wake up, write down all that you can remember right away before you forget. Or use a digital or tape recorder next to your bed to accomplish the same purpose. Best of luck to you, and good fortune, apparently you have someone or some entity on your side. Go for it. Do what you can with the help.

Angels, like many things in today's culture, have been softened down into "cutesy" shadows of their former selves. If you'll check the Bible, the record shows that angels, for the most part, are VERY intimidating. Most people fell down on their faces in fear when an angel revealed its true self. Those guys are God's personal messengers, His go-to men, and His warriors against the forces of the devil. They are NOT cute, winged babies.

On the other hand, they are not something you need to fear. Every "terrifying angel" encounter was quickly followed by an assurance by the angel that he was there to help. If what you saw indeed was an angel, listen up the next time they appear. As long as they don't tell you to do something awful (in which case it might be one of Satan's angels), they probably have darn good advice for you.

If you really did have a visitation (and not just a bad dream), I would suspect the visitation was demonic, not angelic, for the simple reason that "Uriel" never mentioned God to you but instead sought to "possess" you and give you abilities by which you could gain financial success (which is another bad sign -- putting financial success above righteousness).

So, if you receive any further visits from this "Uriel", do not give in to his demands or accept any offers he might make. (And, if you're open to becoming a religious person, it would be a good idea for you to start studying about Jesus Christ, because apart from your being a Christian and therefore having the Holy Spirit of God dwelling within you to repeal such demonic attacks, you're going to remain vulnerable to future "visits".)

I think what would help you, is to focus more on the feelings you had during this dream, rather than if it was an angel or not. You have just lost your job, and that's a big change in your life. You are scared in your real life; and the dream is showing you your fears, and it seems you are feeling a bit stuck as well, which is entirely to be expected in such a situation.
I'd recommend to stop dwelling on this dream, and the images in it though. Instead when you are falling asleep, ask for pleasant dreams, and if you prefer to think of them as angels in your dreams, then ask for supporting and caring and loving angels to come to you in your dreams. While awake, relax as well as you can, and let go of this unpleasant dream. Empty your mind, and repeat, 'I let it go' in your mind, imagine the disturbing dream leaving.

Not all angels are good angels, I know Revelations mentions 1/3 of the angels fell with Satan when He got kicked out of Heaven.

This creature you dreamed I don't believe is entirely for your good. I say that because why did it have to enter you in order for you to do things? Why couldn't it teach you? Not only that but as you said it was domineering, intimidating, etc.

You may not be a religious person, but I would say to pray Ask God to keep you safe in your dreams.

Be careful of people who are around you at this time. Not everybody is meant to help you. Ask God to give you a spirit of discernment to help show you people for who they truly are.

God Bless.

That type of thing happened to me when I was a kid. I think it may have been an angel. Don't worry about being intimidated by it, it's the sort of feeling anyone would get, like the whole "I'm not worthy," feeling. I myself am not religious persay, I think religion is made by people, but I do believe in God and angels.

Dreaming of angels will have a profound impact on your life. Holy, pure, divine, they are trying to convey an important message to you: they might bring more spirituality, joy, and peace to your life, if you have a clear consciousness. If it is not the case, they might remind you that it is time for you to think about your choices and actions, do you need to make things better? Three angels have a great symbolic signigication, try to listen to their message, it must have a holy dimension to it.

Dreaming that you are scared indicates that you are experiencing self-doubt and feelings of incompetence. You may be feeling a lack of control. Anger often masquerades as fear, so also consider issues about which you are angry about in your waking life.

Angels appear to people that are willing to see them. It is possible to have an angel come to you and give you advise or comfort. Angels from Heaven aren't there to scare you, they are there to bring good news, if you want to hear it. It only makes sense if angels from Heaven can appear then angels from Hell can appear too. Yes, Hell has angels. You need to be in control of your spirituality enough to realize what type of angel came to you. If the overall impression was one of peace and love, then it was from Heaven. If it left you confused, scared and worried, then it was from Hell. Get on track to find out where you stand spiritually. Good Luck

Hey, Devils have angel's too. Watch out!

Revelations 12:77 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Pray to God, let the bible direct you not some evil spirit.
