I'm not really either/or.
I try to change what I cannot accept first.
If after trying my best, and reflecting on the results of my efforts, I am convinced that no amount of fighting will affect change, I work at accepting what I cannot change.
I need to know that it cannot be changed before I can release myself from the responsibility of changing it.
How can I say it can't be changed until I have tried to change it?

I like to be both. Then I realize how much of a waste of time it is to try to change something that I dont accept, and go back to just accepting things again and living happily.

I think the only thing I really accept as unchangable is the character and nature of God (not that I claim to understand the Divine). Everything else, I'm free to try to change.

I try to change the things that I can, accept what I cannot change, and have the wisdom to know the difference.

Accepting what you can not change is more important that trying to change what you cannot accept.
