you've seen them before. The huge inflatable exercise balls. I am thinking of getting one for working out on, and wonder if they really are worth it. I know they come with a video tape, but do they really help someone exercise and take off some pounds?

I LOVE mine and yes; I do believe they work wonders when you know what you're doing. I do "crunches" on mine and I can really feel a difference in my ab workouts. Positioning yourself on the ball maintains your back to be "active", thus making your ab muscles tense. Good luck!

Yes, if done correctly and not rushed. I sit on mine everyday when I put on my make-up and do my hair...
It helps with balance, posture and toning.
I would also recommend egoscue exercises which you can learn more about on www.egoscue.com.
I always feel much better after my ball exercises, and the better I feel the healthier my eating habits are.

In conjunction with a healthy diet and a regular excersize schedule, the excersize balls should work well. It adds variety to your workout- But be realistic- don't expect to lose 100 pounds in a week just because you add exersize balls to your workout.

I find I get a much better work out with my ball. i can do abdominal cruches and there is no strain on my back so I can work harder. There are alot of excercises that you can do for your whole body that allow better isolation and less strain. i love my ball!
