It took me forever to get this and after I did I felt like an idiot. Let's see if anyone can get it: A father and son were in a car accident. The father died at the scene and the son was taken to the local emergency room. After evaluation it was decided that the son needed surgery. They called the surgeon in and the surgeon said "Oh my god, I can't operate on him he is my son." Who was the surgeon?

Let me guess: The father in the car was a Father of the church and the surgeon was the boy's actual father. Hey it could work that way. But otherwise, its the mom.
