Why do women act like they're above who they're talking to as a human being? Even when they're not very cute?

How come some girls won't look guys in the eye if you're at a bar and make small talk with them? Why do most girls believe they're above men?

Actually I'm a college graduate with a caring group of friends, loving family and hopefully a future career in broadcasting. Don't take it out on me because my brutal honesty sparked a nerve. Another woman who can dish out the rudeness but can't take it back. Shocker. You all suck

Yes, maybe it's you, what you're saying to them. Maybe you need a new line. Maybe they're shy (sometimes shy people seem to be stuck up), maybe they're afraid, and maybe they are rude. Maybe they're not interested, maybe they just don't want to talk, don't want to be picked up. Please don't make generalizations about all women like this, though.

Only happens to guys without self-confidence.

Just watch the girls for a while. Evenually a self-confident guy will start to interact with them and their attitude towards HIM will be different. Want to know why he acts like he didn't even notice their behavior? Because he didn't. His self-image isn't invested in their opinions.

I'm not sure what will work for you, but if you can get to the point where you really value yourself instead of depending upon others to determine your worth, then you'll find their behavior amusing at worst.

I don't think that they're above men it's just an attitude of not getting sucked in by every guy that talks to you. Women get labelled if they're too outgoing with men too and you know what they're called. So what type of girl do you expect in a bar? You're standard Leave it to Beaver Mom type?

dont go to a bar then ! Go to a fitness centre or go runnning in the park. say hi to the girls that run pass u or u see them every now and then when u run. sure there will be one who replies u..do that alone cos one and above they will classified u as disturbing them..lol

but hey, it might not be that they think they're better than you. i tend to be somewhat of a shy person, and i like it when the guy starts talking to me. or maybe the girl's just not interested....

by the way, you should judge girls (or even just people in general) less by appearance. get to know the person first!

maybe they re not good at eye contact, could be shy. I also read in a book that woman dont usually trust guys who pick them up at bars, we think ur just after sex, which pisses us off so we get annoyed at u. Yep it's pretty judgmental, but guys do it too, even when theyre not very cute:-)!

Most women have been taught better than to be receptive to a guy trying to pick them up in a bar, because that usually leads to a one night stand, or even better, being followed to your car, hijacked, raped, and murdered. Bad things happen to women who aren't careful, and sometimes bad things even happen to women who are.
