There are many reasons besides pregnancy that could cause you to miss your period. Stress, weight gain, weight loss, exercise, and medical conditions. Sometimes you just plain don't have it one month. No reason, just happens. But if it continues, and you are concerned, go see your doctor.

Hi, First of all I want you to know, that there are many reasons why you could be late. Second, I have went 4 1/2 months without a period and every test was negative. My husband and I have been trying to conceive, but no luck yet due to the way my periods have been since going off of the pill. You could possibly be pregnant or a great amount of stress could be causing you to be late. If I were you I would wait another week. If you still haven't gotten it by than, I would see a doctor. Always remember that at-home pregnancy tests are only like 99 percent accurate, therefore, there is still a one percent chance that you could really be pregnant. Good Luck with everything, and I hope this helps.

I was over 2 weeks late and it was still neg (so I went to the doc and I wasnt pregnant, just stressed) but I had a friend who took 6 HPT's - all negative then on the 7th test it was positive and she was almost 8 weeks along...I guess if in doubt, see the doctor and get a blood test.

I was two months late and had used maybe five tests and all came back negative before I went to the doctor. It was my senior year in college during finals and I knew I HAD to be pregnant but the doc said that it was from all the stress and give me pain pills that I was very grateful for when I finally did get my period.

I did, and then I started spotting. I was pregnant. If you think you are pregnant, don't take any meds besides tylenol, and do another pregnancy test after 3 weeks.

Yep. Sometimes it's just harder for it to detect the right hormone. I got negative results even throughout my pregnancy!! Some people are just harder to "read" sometimes.
