Would anyone be able to tell me what the signs and symptoms are and how much time he would have...I'm really worried about it. I don't want anything to happen to him.

I'm very sorry about your dad. A little 5 yr old girl I know has luekemia and she was diagnosed last summer. It depends on what type it is and how early they catch it. If they catch it early enough he could go through chemo and be in remission in no time. That little girl went into remission after 3 or 4 weeks of treatments. But if he's had it for awhile, then his time may be shorter. You could try going to some kind of leukemia foundation online or something. Just don't give up hope!! Keep praying and believing that he will make it through. Good luck for both of u!!!

Leukemia is cancer of the blood. It can be fatal, but if caught early it is also possible to treat. You say that he "may" have it, so let's hold hope that he really doesn't. If he does, know that his doctors will be the best available, and they will treat him to the best of their ability. I am sorry you and your family have to face something so scary. I am sure it will all work out. Good luck to you and your dad.

I'm sorry to hear that. I am sure you and your family are very upset. However, cases can be very different depending on the stage it was in when diagnosed. Please talk to your mom or another adult in your family about your concerns. They may be able to talk with you about your Dad's specific case.

Take the time to tell him how much you love him and understand he may be tired and/or grumpy because it makes him feel so sick.

I hope that it was caught early and can be taken care of fairly quickly.

Well there are four types so it would depend on what kind he had... you can read a really good starter here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leukemia . I'm so sorry to hear this and wish you and your family the best

Oh honey I am so sorry to hear this...I don't have the answer
for you but I wanted you to know I will pray for your dad, you
and your family. My dad has Parkinson's and it is very hard to
see a loved one go through the changes a disease brings on.
Be there for him and let him know how much you love him.
God Bless..

From what I know, you get bruises on your arms and legs, even though you didn't hurt yourself, and you get very very tired. How much time he has always depends on how bad it is and whether the treatment works.
