Hah! He does sound like a piece of ****! You can only get in trouble if you are also in the military! And then it's usually when you're both on duty, in uniform, in the same chain of command, he outranks you, etc etc.

No there is nothing he can do to you if you are a civilian. All he is doing is trying to scare you I have been in the military for 15 years and I have been called everything in the book and I couldn't do anything to a civilian but if you were a soldier then he could do something like councel you and recommend to the Chain of Command for UCMJ (Uniform Code of Military Justice).

as long as you are not in the military there is nothing he can do about it. hes just trying to use the fact that he is in the military to scare you. but he cant do a thing. now if you were in the military and you were a private or something and cussed out a high important person, like a captain or a sergeant major or something, then you could get in a little trouble.

He could file a false report and cause a little trouble for you. In the end it would be your word against his. If he exaggerated his claims strongly enough, that could cause a good, hard , close look to be taken at you. In the end it would probably go away, but why take that chance, and have to endure the scrutiny, when you can call him up and apologize? and next time just keep your mouth shut?

He is really full of it. If everyone who ever insulted a soldier got in trouble, the jails would be full & the military would have no time to do anything else. He is messing with your head. Tell him I said he was a butthead & I am the mother os a US Army Ranger & Officer. His insulting my son can get him in trouble.

Uh, the last time I checked you live in America, haven't you ever heard of the First Amendement? You have the right of freedom of speech! Screw him, and the military. You can so and do whatever you want as long as it is not a crime.

oh comon unless he walks around with a recorder in his pocket there is no way he can prove that you said any of the stuff u said.. you just deny it all if there was no one else there....besides ever heard of 1st amendment? u have freedom of speech so u can insult the us army and unless u say a specific reason you cant get in trouble.

he's full of crap, being in the military does not offer him any more protection from verbal abuse than any other citizen of this country, if it was otherwise i could have had A LOT of people arrested for things they have said to me, considering i am a soldier AND law enforcement as my civilian job.
