You can only get a poison ivy rash from the original oil of the plant. However, if the oil is still on the person's skin, then it can be transferred to you if you come in contact with it. You can also get it by petting a dog that has been in contact with a plant, even if that dog isn't affected (the oil may be on the dog's fur, but not on the dog's skin).
Regarding fluid inside of a poison ivy blister, that is fluid which is produced by a human body in order to help heal what is actually a chemical injury. The human body does not produce poison ivy oil. You can catch all sorts of unpleasant things from other people's bodily fluids, but poison ivy isn't one of them.

You are right. You can only get poison ivy from the oil; however, if there is lingering oil on the person's clothes, skin, an animal's fur, etc. it can be spread.

you can get it if the other persons blisters are open and seeping. There is the poison in them to pass on. Tell your friend to cover his/her blisters with gauze or a bandaid.
