I am looking for new ways also, but I have found some at Church, at a nice local restaurant/bar, yahoo personals, and think of clubs/org that you would be interested that other men might also be. I also volunteer at a Support the Troops outfit and run into/talk with many veterans and supporters that are over 50. Best of luck!

Well, you might find some nice old guys at Walmart.
