Haha yeah RIGHT. Maybe he's applying for citizenship OR he could just opt not to speak English in front of you or anyone else unless he has some dire need to do business with someone who doesn't understand his native tongue.
My question is: if a poster on these boards can't spell, does that make them an illegal alien? Or just dumb?

I'm afraid your English isn't too good, so you can hardly complain about your neighbor's.
Many people are legally in the U.S. on a visa or work permit. Their English may be limited but it doesn't always mean they are illegal.

well first off you don't seem to speak american english too well yourself, and no many people who are here on LEGAL work visa's or student visa's so no just because he does not speak english does not make him an illegeal alien..

good English ma brother.... and ur wondering that if ur neighbor is illegal? no he is not....many Americans don't speak English..take my parents for example..we are American national but my parents still don't know how to speak English and I'm not all that good in grammar and spelling either.....
