i forgot to format my memory card on my digital camera, is there any way to retrieve the pictures taken on it?

Yes!! If it was a new memory card, it came formatted. So any pics you took should still be there waiting to download to a computer.

Formatting is the best way to erase a memory card and get it ready to use again.
