I saw this on a popscicle stick.

A sawhorse is a structure made of wood. IT has 4 legs and a I think a 2 x 4 going vertical that the legs are attached to.

Sawhorses are used in workshops and used to hold wood while it is being sawed (cut).

Now I must tell you, there is a new invention, called a dictionary, (which I did not use to define this word) but it would have cleared up all of your confusion

Don't you know what a sawhorse is? It's a wooden stand and carpenters lay a piece of wood across two of them to saw them in half. I doubt if one would ever win a race.
