The USA would NOT get involved. How do I know that? Because Mexico ALREADY has a system much like ours.

They have a minimum wage but we don't insist that they enforce it in order to work in our American companies down there or to participate in trade with us.

They have a tax system, elections, etc....

They even have free college education that we used to have in this country until greed took over and we cancelled that.

They also have free healthcare that we don't

Mexico has just had VERY corrupt leaders. we've had some really F****d up presidents that didn't give a dam about the people. like Porfirio diaz

as of now, the government is getting better, it got better with V. Fox. Though I'm not sure about the new president.

the bulk of the people will not rally against the government soon.

the only ones close to that are the Zapatistas but they only want their land back and they are not getting U.S. support

They won't. They could if they had the will to. The 'will of the people' there is very weak. They are not like Americans and never will be. We have initiative, intelligence, ingenuity, determination, strength, strong wills and we can make things happen. They want it, they just don't want to work for it in their country. They just come to the USA and reap the rewards of what WE accomplished. It's called laziness.

They tell you themselves their country already has a better constitution than ours. I think they just don't strive to make their country's constitution work, they don't put their energy into it. The USA might have helped them if they hadn't been so arrogant and demanding here. If they hadn't protested and flew their flags and disrespected our country and our laws. Now I hope they all get deported and I hope our border is tightened and NO more people come across that border AT ALL. And it wouldn't bother me if I never laid eyes on another Latino EVER. I'd rather deal with rednecks and hillbillies, they understand laws better than stupid Mexicans, appreciate any help they get and at least they're legal.

Actually, the Mexican constitution is considered one of the best in the world. It is more extensive than the American one and guarantees more freedoms and benefits than the American one. It was actually the first country that made Social Security mandatory. The problem is that the country is corrupt and many things found in the constitution are sometimes ignored.

If the citizens of Mexico were to 'si, se puede' IN Mexico, they'd have a country to call their own with less corruption etc. And, we'd have a better neighbor. I think I could find myself supporting that idea...reform's good, I don't think it requires violence, but rather the will of the People to just get in there and get it done.
Still, all of this needs to happen IN Mexico...

I would hope we would stand behind the people and allow them to turn Mexico into something substantial for them to work towards their dreams and goals as a Nation.

Mexico has a serious economic problem: They have no middle class. There, you are either rich or poor, and the absence of a middle class fosters corruption.

Isn't that the US will choose to side with the people in this case since it will benefit the US - less immigration problem.
